Great short vid! Just a side note - I used my travel credit to book a BMW X5 this yr w/ Sixt car rental in Fort Lauderdale booked through the Capital One Travel portal.. Awesome perk. And even though I didn't fly to a Capital One lounge destination I still had access to priority pass and brought a friend in for free.

@@ibrahimhadid9257off hand I believe it’s a pass that lets you get into different lounges in airports. You’d have to google to know which lounges it specifically gives you access too

Just got approved w/30k spending limit. I think I'll cancel my AMEX PLAT and keep the Gold.

I was just approved and to my surprise, the $300 travel credit was waiting for me. I used it to book a trip to Miami. As a new customer to banking with them and now having their CC, I love it

@@MaxMilesPoints May check it out. That neckline looks a bit tight. Is it "form fitting" or at least a taper fit? I don't like Euro fit because my shoulders are quite wide and I haven't hit the gym in nearly a year. When I gym regularly my shoulders and chest pop me into XL US sizing, easily.

I’m approved for the Regular Venture card, is it worth upgrading to that from the quick silver I have currently?

Not much of a difference. You’ll be racking mile points instead of cash back. That’s prob the only major difference.

Better than amex plat. Amex gold isn't bad though.

It will be bad with the upcoming updates unfortunately. Cant decide if I’m going to keep it

But it’s impossible to get approved. Hubs and I, both high rating, 4 revolving accounts, can’t get approved. Called recon line, they said it’s not up to them, the computer says no. What?!

It's not impossible, but from what I've heard is that credit card acquisition velocity is what they tend to look at. Also, if you have other C1 cards prior, I think that helps. That's why with my business I'll probably end up going C1BVX will be first, then Amex Gold, Platinum, and maybe airline card if I feel like it at the end. I also had a CSR in good standing when I applied with for the VX, then product changed CSR to CSP upon receipt of VX.

@@melissatravelgal I don't think I had a high new card velocity when I applied. I was probably 3/24 at the time I applied for the VX. However, I *did* have the CSR, and another card that had a $28k+ limit. The rest have limits of around $15k, + or - a few thousand. I also had two other Capital One issued cards that I hadn't used in years. I just keep them open for credit rating and to keep the history with Capital One ongoing. One was a Platinum I had for 7 or 8 years but never used. I'm also well into 6 figures annually on my W2 and have a small business that helps with spend. I'm purposefully putting off applying for the C1BVX until I know I'm going to hit the $20k spending bonus with my business, which hopefully will be in the next two months, because I don't want to be rejected by C1's cryptic rule set.

Removed the lounge options.... don't address this!!😅

this is a good beginner travel card. The Amex gold and Plat are way better. more lounges and travel perks.

I get tired of all the loop I have to jump through to get my money back on AMEX PLAT. The DFW lounge wasn't very good for me personally.
