I think the fact that there were no spectators had a lot to do with it. He said himself that he plays fine when he is out by himself. He gets self conscious in front of spectators and that is when the hitch shows up.

I feel like this is how everyone should be. I always find it strange when I go play and the guys with me are just as bad but take it so serious. Like just enjoy being out on the course and having a great time. Nobody is trying to make any cuts today.

Put it this way...it would be like putting steph curry and Phil mickelson vs two really really really good top level high school recruits...it would be an absolute joke what curry would do Plus phils style is perfect foe this...his entire style has been based on scrambling and getting creative im horrible situations...Charles could do whatever he wanted and Phil could find a way out...plus you gotta understand Phil will get up and down every single time, never miss a putt under 5 ft, and every full swing he has will be wayyyy longer and right on target...

People don't understand how good the pros really are. Steph is an athlete but he is not even close to good enough to be on tour, much less have "an excellent career in golf after the NBA"....no shot
