Brother that hunt was epic. Anyone who thinks that big game hunting, and especially hunting the 'black death', is a one sided affair should watch this hunt. The scars on that buffalo was an epitaph to the days he battled to the death, and he was hell bent on destroying you. That you held your nerve and ended him was a fitting demise for a battle scared warrior. You must have a set of balls that any buffalo bull would be proud of,lol, that video was a privilege to watch, thank you my friend.

I love to hunt and will hopefully get to Africa someday. But in the meantime I love to watch videos of African hunting. I liked how you showed scenes from the town, and the local people....made me subscribe to your channel. Hunting to me is about the adventures, and building memories with the ones you love. You seem to feel the same way. Thank you and keep em coming!

I have a friend who worked at Lion Country Safari in Atlanta Georgia back in the mid-70's. He was in his late 20's then. One of his jobs was to feed certain animals. On the day he got hired his boss told him that the Cape Buffalo is the most dangerous animal in the world to humans and that he should be very careful when going near them. As I recall they were kept on a small island which he had to access by a small John boat, and he didn't venture very far onto the island to put out the feed. In other words he stayed close to the boat.

"Most places that end in stan..." Yeah, that just about says it all. In '71, my cousin was hunting buffalo in hill country in S. Africa. He was crawling on his hands and knees through the brush and stopped when he could feel the breath of the buffalo. He couldn't hear him or see him only feel the air but he shot anyway and at the same instant that the buffalo put it in gear. That is working pretty close to your animal. I really enjoyed your video!

Use gaffer's tape. Looks like duct tape except its fabric based. The adhesive sticks very well but pulls off without leaving messy goo on the surface. Its also much easier to rip. Gaffers tape was developed for the movie industry. Wires and cables keep getting moved around the gaffers needed a better tape to make their job easier. Someone gave me that tip about 15 years ago. Best tool tip. One use of gaffer's tape is covering a stock or gun barrel or whatever, then spraying camo paint on it. Actually I found it works better to pull strips of tape, lay them side by side on wax paper. Then go at it with camo pattern stencils and camo paint. Then apply to ammo cans or whatever you want.

Alain, I would love to know the aiming point on both kills. Was the first one a heart shot and the second on the nose? I have heard that the skull is so thick that you have to get the bullet through the nose on a straight charge. Is that a fact or myth? My Grandfather was a big game hunter in India, he shot 7 man eating tigers and a Snow leopard which entered his tent during a blizzard in the Himilayers and killed and then ate his Old English Sheepdog. He tracked it for 4 days and killed it. I have the skin hanging on my wall along with the Tolley 500 double express that killed it.

@@nobodysreview6137 Nope. Truckload of African laborers will cut it up and haul it to the truck. Meat goes back to the village. Thats why they love safari hunters, They get to eat meat. Only thing that gets left behind is some of the guts and some bones.

@@nobodysreview6137 That's why you ask questions, read about it and learn. Sport hunters give lots of money and protein to the local people who, otherwise, would have to scrounge for a living and possibly turn to poaching to eat.

@UCH_UeyHZTGHMCLFYEJItAJg Yah maybe so, but remember, these are TV shows. They have limited time and most folks just want to see the kill not the prep or the clean up which is often tedious and boring. I have hunted my whole life so I am familiar with it all but someone who has not would not know what goes on. Hunting is more than just killing.

J Alain Smith I guess that the blast and recoil must be loud in those calibers;-) luckily no game here in Sweden needs more than a 30-06 and supressors are getting better and better so mussle blast and recoil is history.

We can use suppressors in most places in America however the regulations by the federal government [Obama] make them very hard to purchase. Good luck this fall and stay tuned we are going to be releasing a lot more content to this page and also Amazon Prime.

You hit him in the neck bro. Looks like a clean takedown shot. But you hit him in the neck infront of the shoulder blade. That was a bad shot. It looks like a clean heart shot by the way he drops. But you can clearly see it hits in the lower neck. Thats the reason that buffallo was still alive. Beceause you missed. Maybe a scope might have helped since you spent $10000 to make the trip anyways

If you want a set of sights that you can sight fast, its irons. Either Express sights or a ghost ring. A modern reflex sight might be as fast. A scope isn't.
