    Oh people Relax!! They are chinese so english is not their daily language. He or she make an effort to translate it using a translator for us to understand what he/she is doing!! If you find the translation wrong, it means you understand what he ia trying to tell in his video!! Haist!! Nowadays, people really become so intelligent, become expert in everything, but seriously, what he just cooked is so similar to what we call ESPASOL, so delicious!!

    I dont think anyone is making fun of her, we all watched this cause it looked yummy. It just sounded funny cause it didnt make sense in the way it was phrased. Cooled boiled water would have sounded a little more logical to everyone. i still didnt understand till EZ explained. If English isn't your first language, you probably shoudnt get too upset if you phrase things the wrong way, English is a hard language.

    It's a quite surprising that I feel somewhat nostalgic for this as Japanese... Although we don't use bananas, and we "steam" sticky rice to make rice cake, but "making a rice cake sweets" is mostly like what grandma or grandpa do in Japan.

  • @05DonnieB

    @05DonnieB

    What do you mean you don't use bananas? I've been to Japan and hap plenty of dishes with them. Of course it's not a staple food like cabbage, red bean paste, potato and onion.

  • @mariko333peace

    @mariko333peace

    @@05DonnieB Yup. We eat bananas as it is often, but since it's not the traditional fruit in Japan, grandma or grandpa don't know how to "cook" it. However since we produce rice from the ancient, we have much traditional rice cake sweet and are often made by grandma. So the banana sweets are something within decades and not traditional, and that's why the grandma or grandpa don't know how to make it. That's what I meant.

    just to note, it might be possible to replace the rice flour with corn starch and forego the cooking of the rice flour. Typically cooking flour like that is done to burst the flour granules so that it doesn't taste like flour and to release the starch molecules, where as corn starch would be pure starch and would probably work just as good, in then end you are making what amounts to a super thick rice/banana pudding, and then working it to lock the starch molecules together with parts of the banana giving it some elastic properties.

    Hi! I just made these! They are delicious! So much better than the ones in the store, that most likely use artificial flavours! I have a couple of questions though; 1- If I steam it longer, will it become tougher, therefore, more chewy? 2- How long do they last at room temperature, or in the fridge? Do they freeze well? Thanks!

    Hello, this one is stored at room temperature. Because there is no additive, it can only be kept for a few days

    many ungrateful english speakers are complaining about the subtitle... at least she tried and gave the recipe. but if a japanese woman did this, yall won't even complain about how shitty the grammar is... "all because it's japanese" and not chinese 🙄
