Canteen Cup Tuesday, Biscuits and Gravy

Nelson C's CCT idea Biscuits and Gravy from my 100 sub video. Thanks for the idea Nelson C. I take it on with a bit of an unconventional twist. I hope you like it.
As always thank you Floridaboy Bushcraft and Survival and MTWoodsrunner for the whole CCT idea.

Genius!!!! Awesome! The dumplings twist was genius. Thanks for the mention and making a great breakfast even easier. Some sausage bits or dehydrated meat would make it even more over the top. Now you made me hungry and off to the pantry I go. I look forward to your ideas and videos. Fight on Bear!!!

Great video . . . you made me hungry for biscuits and gravy. Btw, that's my favorite Mountain House meal, but I'm sure YOUR version was much less expensive. Thank you for taking us along with you on your adventure. I'm subbing.

I'm setting here thinking about breakfast and your video pops up. Biscuits & gravy is one of my favorites. Very clever idea. I also have a couple of ideas that I have been wanting to test out. With the onset of Fall, it's time for me to get back out there and do some cooking also. Keep it up!

you hit on what I was thinking, Buttermilk/milk powder for the biscuits and dehydrated sausage or TVP for the gravy....this is a keeper Bear (and Nelson)

That was awesome and definitely a keeper. Would. You mind giving the measurements for the biscuits again using the biscuits and powdered milk? May as well give the measurements for the Harvey too. Sometimes it is hard to fo!low and copy at the same time. You actually have some of the best recipes on the Tuesday canteen cup reviews. Thanks. I subbed your channel so I don't miss your canteen cup tuesdays.

Personally, when I use powdered milk in place of actual milk in a recipe, I just use the instructions and estimate. If you put a little less, you’ve just made skim milk, if you put a little extra, it’s just a little more rich, like half and half. You won’t really notice the difference.

MM! That looks delicious! Biscuits and gravy are one of the best things ever. My daughter watched a little of this with me and just asked for chicken and dumplings for lunch today. she's got a cold so I'm going with it, but I might need to save some dumpling mix for biscuits. ;)

@@journeyofbear6423 Yeah me and a buddy used to hike the Appalachian trail about 5 miles out in east TN years ago. We'd camp for about 2 weeks. Was right beside a natural trout stream. We would shoot a couple squirrels and catch a few brook trout. Clean em, stuff the cavities with wild garlic and throw em on a spit over the fire. Some of the best food I think I've ever ate!
