What made Elvis the greatest; wasn't because he could sing the lyrics, or play the guitar, or piano! What made him the best is because every time was on stage he was allowing us into his life! Every song, every motion on stage was him breaking free! He was shackled by his own fame! Elvis sang; Gospel, Country, Blues and rock! What vibrates with us when we here an Elvis songs is the purty and honesty of is soul!

I honestly do not understand how anyone cannot be an Elvis fan - I just don't get it. His voice touches you in a way that you cannot explain. I listen to him and feel every emotion - happiness, sadness, loneliness, love - it is all there in his voice and his performance. He touched people in a way that no other performer ever did and that is one of the main reasons why so many people loved him and still love him. HIs voice just touches you somewhere down deep inside. He was just magic, and no words are adequate to express how much he means to his fans. Only wish that he really knew during his lifetime just how much he was loved...

His cousin Billy says that the 2 songs Elvis always felt that were dedicated to his fans were this one and Bridge Over Troubled Water. In his early career his mother got very upset because he came off stage trying to get to his dressing room, the fans tore his shirt into pieces. She was yelling at them to leave her boy alone! He told her it was ok, the fans bought that shirt so they can have pieces of it.

There are so much cover versions of this song, but this is Elvis' song. In every word of its meaning. It was, is and ever will be his song. It's almost like a love affair between Elvis and this song. It sounds crazy i know, but that is how i feel. Thanks for showing this special and funny version Dani. Your reactions are so refreshing. I sometimes have the feeling it's me who bought my first Elvis album, forgot the world around me and did nothing but listen to this beautiful voice!

I’m 58 yrs old and I was fortunate enough to have seen him in concert twice. I’m as straight as they come but that dude in 1968-1969 had to be the handsomest man ever. It seems like a miracle that God could create someone so handsome and also possess one of the greatest voices at all time. There are a lot of handsome men but Elvis is the only one that no-one can take their eyes off of. It really is a magnetic quality that’s hard to understand. As if those looks weren’t enough, then you have the voice. The high notes. The low notes. The snarl. It’s so hard to describe his voice because it’s so versatile. And then you watch him sing “Bossa Nova Baby” and you watch him dance and it’s so effortless he probably didn’t even have to practice it. No one entertainer ever had so many gifts. The odds of someone being born like that are impossible to imagine. We will never see another like him.

My friend Mike Hermenet and I were in memphis and we got to see the sneak peak showing of that,s the way it was that was going to be released in 2001. ( But the fans in memphis that were there for fanclub's & tribute week were able to view it. It was a great time in memphis and I will never forget my time there .if I never get there again. I'm happy for what I have done to this moment. I hope in time I get to meet you and other people when and if this pandemic gets over for good. Great job.

He Always left them begging for more. That's why they never left. And they had to announce at the end of his concert. Ladies & gentlemen.......Elvis has left the building. Trying to get the crowd to go home. Elvis has left the building, that has become a famous statement thru the years. Honestly I don't know if he EVER done an encore and came back out. Actually, probably not because he always had to have a fast get away car parked and would rush to get to it and be ready to get out of there because the mob scene was about to be enormous!!!

It shows you right there at that precise moment when the curtains are going almost going down Elvis loved his fans more than his own life. As had been said. That Elvis was expressing his affections to his fans by singing that song at the end of his shows. His fans meant everything to him. Just like he adored his daughter Lisa Marie. He would've absolutely adored his grandbabies as well.

I’ve been a fan since I was a toddler. I’m 63 now, I’ve seen him live in concert twice, and my mind still can’t come up with ample words to describe what it’s like to be a true fan of his. I truly wish you, of all the reviewers I watch, could have seen him live. Keep doing what you do. You are great at it!

This is from the Aug 12, 1970 midnight show that forms the core of the movie That's The Way It is... probably his best show in Vegas, clocking in at over 80 minutes. This performance is immediately after Suspicious Minds and he has already performed Polk Salad Annie and Mystery Train-Tiger Man. The next day he stated during the dinner show he didn't feel worth a damn...indicating how much effort he put forth as the show was filmed almost in it's entirety, versus the haphazard filming of the other shows during production. Here is the unbelievable Aug 12th performance of Suspicious Minds originally featured in the movie. kzread.info/dash/bejne/aXh-o8-qlZaXqKQ.html
