I agree he lived a fast life. Elvis tried to be happy. After his Mom died, Elvis lost a part of his heart. Priscilla helped mend it a bit and Lisa. Elvis never got over the death of his precious Mom. I know if Gladys lived longer, Elvis would of been in better health, along with her too. This song is very heartfelt and deeply felt in Elvis's soul. A lot of Elvis's songs were at times sad. A fan of Elvis for life. Long live Elvis. Watched him grow from the beginning to mature in the end. Over 63 years and still a loyal fan.

It is in tragedy where art truly blossoms. Elvis was a very lonely and troubled soul. His God given abilities could never be achieved again in one human being. Noone could train Elvis to do this. Elvis gave nothing, but LOVE. Elvis was the greatest entertainer there ever was. It will take another thousand or 2 thousand more years for someone to come along with half of this man's talent. Glad you liked Graceland as much as I did !!!

You need to watch the movie on KZread Elvis and Me. It is based on the book Elvis and Me by Priscilla. The last two weeks before his death, he went to Priscilla’s to see Lisa Marie and he asked Priscilla to come back to him. But she told him he could never stop singing and be happy with just one woman. He said he could, if it was her. When on Oprah’s show, after his death, she told that she and Elvis talked nearly every day, because they never stopped loving each other and were the best of friends and he could talk to her when he couldn’t talk to anyone else. Great reaction, as always. This song shows how much he really never stopped loving her. So sad.

I became a fan in 1977, the day Elvis died. I was familiar with all the old hits. This song was new to me in 1982. So heartfelt and sung with an impeccable voice. Nowdays, I do not have a favorite Elvis song. My favorite is whatever suits my feeling at the moment. I love that nasally thing he does in the word TIME in the phrase, "I just never took the time."

"dont tell me a song ......show me a song " that shows you naked emotion . james

Another TERRIFIC segment, Miss Atkinson. I've always felt, this was the one singular song that spoke to Elvis's regrets regarding Priscilla. Although, not written specifically for him, I've often thought that it is sometimes easier for an artist to convey his or her emotion through song as opposed to direct interaction. And for Elvis, this was that moment. Emotional expression can be both exilerating and tramatic. And as an artist yourself, I'm sure your music at times resonates so deeply within you, that it is sometimes difficult to truly convey. For that song is your moment, your release, your thought, your happiness, your healing, your sorrow. And for Elvis, I think this is all he could offer in that moment. Miss Atkinson, As always a true pleasure to sample your offerings. Continued success with your channel and career. Sincerely, Mike Beal

Another great song by Elvis. I'm just surprised it didn't show any footage of Priscilla. I believe he sing this song as a message because this was shortly after Priscilla had left him. Yes I believe this was his way of saying to Priscilla I wasn't there as much as I could have been. And maybe I didn't love you quite as often as I should have. he already long lost his mother. Boy I sure know the feeling of losing loved ones. I'm sure a whole lot of us do. But it really hit home with Elvis. If I remember right I think the sun was originally recorded by oh yeah Willie Nelson. I couldn't think of the other old guy's name for a moment. I'm not really a Willie Nelson fan but I have heard him that song as well. Anyway, I think he especially loved and adored his lady fans. But thanks for your reaction Dani.

Yes this was a sad song. I had thought it was about Priscilla too. He didn't work on his marriage. It takes two to make it work. Being away from his family didn't help the relationship. Sometimes you don't know what you have I til it is gone. That is what happened to them. You have it hard. Want to be there for your fans and then family. Can't be in two places at the same time. Priscilla helped Elvis grieve for his Mom. She really new Elvis needed to talk and Priscilla would listen. I don't believe Priscilla actually looked much like his Mom when younger though. That was the connection. Thank you for sharing with us. Hearing Elvis sing helps a lot of people deal with the pandemic. I am a Elvis fan for life. More than 63 years now. Long live Elvis!!

As a long time Elvis fan L feel blessed to have all that he did leave for us to enjoy ! Fame is a curse and a blessing and the kind of fame that obtained was hard to endure It makes me sad to think that left us without being creatively unfulfilled ! Enough of the sadness lets just enjoy the treasures he gave us ! ! Another great video young lady ! Keep them coming

Check out the kids doing the shuffle dance to elvis songs it's nice to see young folks enjoying elvis this was back in the day when there was no voice help through electronic just a mic an his voice was original without any help. I knew a girl once as a teenager that was my sister friend that was one of his backup singers. Elvis was as genuine as the songs he sang. Much 💘

a song that fits the voice of many artists: Elvis Presley, Willie Nelson, Connie Talbot and newcomers like Benedikt Kostler (the voice Germany from a few years ago) and more

This is my favorite Elvis song. It's the song that made me want to dig deeper into Elvis music. I had heard other Elvis songs, but this is the one that made say "Hey, this guy has something special you need to hear more of"

I feel your emotions here; I also had the opportunity to visit Graceland back in ‘07 and the experience of seeing his tombstone/ visiting his home etc like yourself, left a huge imprint on me. I was a lad of 14 when Elvis passed and just couldn’t believe it when my dad rushed into my bedroom and told me the King had passed way back in August ‘77 and still all these decades later Elvis still has that impact on everyone that hears him/ sees him, very sad what happened to him with all his health issues leading up to his death but his legacy lives on. Great video review

I would like you to do a reaction to "That's someone you never forget". I really feel his love for his mum in this song, and his voice is so soft and tender that my heart almost aches for him😢

One of my favorites. I love the Philharmonic Orchestra with it. Great review Dani. I like how you look into not just music, but the meaning of the song and what was going on in their life at the time.

I love what you said about how sad it was that he had so much more to give and it was so unfair that he didn't get that time to do that, and that you wanted that for him...exactly. Not many have that gift to touch people like Elvis.
