Canon T90 repair

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I picked up a really tidy Canon T90 camera on eBay which had the classic blinking cursor fault. Here is my attempted fix to bring this highly influential camera back to life!

Hi, I tried this trick and it helped me partially. Even so, the EEE error sometimes appears mainly after switching on and pressing the trigger. However, it happens to me at some times. I'm afraid it's probably old age and an error in the electronics.

I think they need to be used on a regular basis. I make sure to fire off the shutter a few times every month. Hope yours settles down

@@vintagevantics It was confirmed to me that if I click the shutter several times before inserting the film, the eee error almost does not appear. However, the question is whether the shutter is OK. There are quite ugly stripes in the photo.

@@sorkarkelly8066 ah that sounds like another issue. May be a sticky shutter. Try it with the back off and no film and see if the shutter is sticking at slow speeds

@@vintagevantics I don't understand you now. What exactly do you mean?

@@sorkarkelly8066 so open the back as if you were loading the film and fire the shutter at different shutter speeds a few times to see how the shutter curtain behaves. It shouldn’t get stuck half way across and this might be what is causing the stripes.
