I watched and re-watched this video so that I could do my best to commit to memory the information here. I can honestly say that this video radically improved my experience with my EOS Rebel T7i. I'm getting better pictures faster, I have far more control over the camera and when something doesn't exactly come out the way I want it to, I know why. Thank you very much... this is excellent instruction. Now, I just need better glass... the kit lens is killing me! :-)

First, Thank You and Chelsea for everything you share and teach. I have a Samsung WB250F I have NEVER explored any of the manual settings. My best friend's daughter asked me to take photos of her wedding and I immediately said YES..and then panicked! Now I'm watching your videos to learn what I need to know to take the best photos for her. It's in September so I have time to get a new camera, and do lots of picture taking to HOPEFULLY be prepared for the day. I'm watching your tutorials just to get familiar with all the terms, and what all the features do, even though I haven't decided which camera to buy yet. I'll use your recommendations as best I can, but my budget isn't unlimited:) Thanks again for the information, the fun, the confidence, and for sharing so much of yourselves in a way that helps me learn without feeling like someone is talking down to me.

I just bought my first REAL camera a couple days ago & it's the 800D and a Tamron 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 (not sure if that's a good lens but it was a great price to not swap lenses). I've never used a camera like this before & you helped a noob out at understanding some of the "set it & forget it" settings.

Wow, what a wealth of information! Thank-you so much! I will say though that this one, like my other dslrs before it, has awful auto white balance. At least indoors. I would encourage dslr owners to figure out how to do that manually. Apologies, your books just arrived and I haven't read them yet, so perhaps you mention it there. But I've been watching a lot of videos and frequenting forums/blogs in the meantime in attempts to rediscover my old hobby. My classes were in 35mm film and I just never took to digital until now. After all my reading, I had sort of given up on a 50mm & 85mm power duo until I get a full frame camera. You still think those lenses are good purchases for crop sensor cameras or would I want 30mm & 50mm to match those same shots for this camera?
