Choosing between the RF 50mm 1.2L and the RF 28-70mm 2.0L is what I call a good problem. You just can’t go wrong.

Se colocasse as fotos de cada lente lado a lado seria melhor para comparação. Mesmo assim foi bom ver que as duas lentes são ótimas. Obrigado.
Should I get rid of my 35 1.4 & 50 1.4 and get 28-70 if I achieve same result from one lens.
I appreciate the comparison. I have been using the 28-70mm for wedding and event work for over a year. I have the 35mm most of the time as my second kit with 2 R6’s. This has been a perfect set up. I have the 85 1.2 however I rarely use it wide open. I prioritize sharpness over bokeh. The 28-70mm is the sharpest rf lens I own. It my heavy favorite. And I do mean heavy.

Why buy the 85 1.2 for $2,800 if your not shooting wide open when you can get the 85 f2 for less than $400 if you want sharpness only Just curious…

@@eotceotc because the 85 f1.2 is objectively sharper than the 85 f2 when stopped down and has better bokeh still. There are other factors in play. Just because a lens has a fast aperture doesn't mean you should always shoot it at that aperture. Wide apertures like 1.2 are just for more flexibility. It's great to have if the lighting sucks too.

I got RF50mm 1.2 and i like it so much. However, in some cases you need zoom, so now i'm considering to get RF 28-70. I need money money money is what i need:)

Its such an amazing lens!
At an event the zoom is a necessity IMO. There is no time to change lenses 😅 Just bought a second body so I can have the best of both worlds with a zoom and prime or zoom (28-70) & zoom (70-200)

Without a doubt!! I have the 70-200 on my wish list for my weddings next year
Love the 50mm 1.2, I rented the 28-70 and as amazing as it is I don't miss it. I do product photography but I can totally see the value in the grenade for wedding/event photos.

For still shots I would take the 50mm always too. For movement, especially in a studio has a huge benefit!
