There is a trick to fully empty your cartridges with a pin. they show empty but there is a lot more in them, look it up on youtube I cannot remember the link

This is not working for refilled CL-41 & PG-40 in Canon Pixma MP228. This printer is printing only with original Canon cartridge and never prints with refilled cartridge. If anyone has a better experience with refilled cartridge in Canon Pixma MP228, then do let us know here. Thanks

Try doing this: When E16/E13 error shows up with both ink cartridges are blinking, hold reset until another error comes up hold reset again until error is gone that should help your problem

I tried everything possible with MP 240 but haven't had any luck. I'm never buying official cartridges though. And I really dislike how the Canon is trying to screw us with this ink hog machine. I plan to go for Brother MF series now. I'd rather pay more $ for refill-able printer than this cheap ass junk that tries to force me to buy $50 cartridge, and mind you but this is 4 in 1 color cartridge we're talking about to. One color runs out, and you are force to change all cartridges. BS
