Glad to see you cross into the Davinci Dimension. Everything Canon is doing right now with their mirrorless lineup and naming convention just baffles me and is fear inducing to even bother with trying these cameras out

Both of these cameras are way out of my price range and I'm very happy with my A7IV, but wanted to give kudos for a well done video! It was the rare combo of both very informative AND very entertaining 👍

The Autofocus is great! Now with updated firmware, but nevertheless the Autofocus in the cinema side is made to be more organic and customizable and not too jumpy for better focus pulls I find myself using it works well.

Hey Zach, I don’t know if you saw this question on your last video, so I will post it here if you did not. Thanks! I am deciding between buying the FX3, A7SIII or the A7IV. I do about 90-95% video. I am a filmmaker and I also like to shoot music videos and want to get into content creation as well(i.e. videos for KZread like short films/music videos or regular talking head videos/vlogs and photography for Instagram). I also do a bit of photography, but I don't shoot for print. I want to get into ways of making money in the next 3-5 years like wedding videography/photography, real estate videography/photography and hopefully even product videography/photography. The obvious choice seems to be the A7IV, but I worry about the usability in client work due to the overheating. My budget is about $4,200. I do not have any lighting, but could choose to shoot outdoors or with natural light while I save for lighting. I do not have any lenses, but if I buy the FX3, I would probably buy a cheap and decent prime lens(24mm or 35mm) until I save up enough for another lens. I do not mind the technical challenge haha. Ideally, I would buy the A7IV and use the other $1,200 on lighting and lenses, but I am afraid it will limit my confidence in working with clients because of the known overheating that I have heard about(someone told me that theirs overheated within ten minutes while they were only scrolling through the menu). Based on all of this and what I want to do, should I buy the FX3 or the A7IV? Or maybe you propose I get the A7SIII? Sorry for the long question. Thanks! P.S. If I go for the FX3, I would have to use it for my paid gigs as well as my personal filmmaking and content creation cam, because it would be the only camera I have. Would this be ok? Thanks again!

Since you would be using a monitor on client jobs, the Ninja V resolves all overheating. Unless you are going to be shooting exclusively 4k60p in summer. It's about 30~35C and 90% humidity where I live, and the Ninja V overheats in 4k60p after about 1h15mins under shade.

@@tvm2209 I worry about the overheating with the A7SIII. While I hear it doesn't happen as much as other Sony cameras, I know that the FX3 has a built in cooling fan that the A7SIII does not. I do want to get into client videography, but I worry that the A7SIII might not be as reliable as the FX3 is. Are my worries about overheating valid? If so, should I consider going with the FX3 due to the reliability factor of it not overheating? Thanks.

@@itsallgone5077 A7Siii overheating? Everyone I know personally including myself has yet to encounter their A7siii's overheating even under the hot sun in Florida summers recording 4k120 for hours. I chose the A7siii over the FX3 because occasionally I use the camera for photography and do a lot of outdoor video recording as well as photos where I really do need the EVF which the FX3 lacks. A7siii just is more versatile as a "hybrid" camera vs the FX3 is all. Even if I was only doing video I still would go with A7siii because of the EVF alone.

@@tvm2209 @TVM ok, thanks so much for answering my questions! A final one for you, I never really used the EVF on any of my cameras. Do you believe I should weigh my decision based on the EVF. So, if I end up wanting an EVF by the time I save up, then go with the A7SIII. If I end up not wanting one, go with the FX3?

Now when canon fixed overheating issues in R5 there is no real reason to choose R5C when You are a hybrid shooter.

When your reviews are so hot you have to edit them with your shirt off.

For me the R5C was 2 years too late. I have serious trust issues with Canon now because I used to love them. My girlfriend asks: Are you watching naked men? min 12:30. lol

The Sony A7Siii is the bomb 🔥

Double the resolution of 12 mpx is 24mp not 48mp hahaha pleaseee your math lol

Now compare them both to the Panasonic S5 😏

@@contentm3893 😅 that pretty much covers it in terms of best hybrid... Some will say you can still work with the 12 mega pixels if your just posting photos online, but why would any "hybrid" shooter make a compromise for 12 when they can have the flexibility of 45?

The Canon WIPES THE FLOOR with the Sony A7SIII. The Canon has 12 bit internal RAW, the Sony does not. The Canon has 8K, the Sony has blurry 4K. The Canon has cinema menus and features, the Sony does not. The Canon has 45 megapixels, the Sony only has 12 (it's not 2009 anymore, so it's outdated).

Canon R5C is an amazing Hybrid camera that no one can use due to its lack of battery power… now you can rig it up but by the time you’ve purchased the camera and all of the accessories it needs just to stay powered up… you can literally by the Sony FX3 and the Sony A7C which both have amazing performance and battery life…. Canon R5C is great for rigging if you want to spend damn near 8 grand just so you can go through the menu 😂

I use the battery grip on my r5c. Battery life is fine. No need to rig it up.
