Quite the green shift on the Sony. I'd still take that camera over the R5 or 6 though for a video cam. Canon for hybrid 😀

Exactly, for hybrid shooters the R5 - or in my case the R6 - are pretty solid hybrid cameras! Somewhere in the future I might get the C70 for video only, but I can do almost anything I need to do with my R6.

Okay, so this is my take. I own a Canon t5i and have been using it to shoot video for about 4 years now, so I've grown very accustomed to how the camera looks, the colors, the settings, everything. Even though it's such a beginner camera and miles away from what the r5 can do, I couldn't help but notice that I identified which one was the Cranon very very easily. I don't know what it is, but Canon has a certain texture in the image, in the shadows, the colors, that I could spot in the comparison. All this being said, I really like the way the Sony looks so clean and sharp, and that's why I've been saving my money to get into the Sony line. Sorry for the huge comment, but hope yall find this discovery as interesting as I did.

I’m thinking the Sony sensor is superior to the R5!!!!...... so had no problem spotting it between the two! Heck, I am thinking about buying a second body for multi cam shoots!

I’m an R5 owner but if you want to take the time to be a disciplined cinematographer establishing a traditional cinematic shooting protocol on set Black Magic is where to start. Like they say, know the rules before you break the rules. In a way IBIS and autofocus is breaking the rules though wonderfully useful.

That friend with the R5 is the right friend to have 😅 For video, you can't go wrong with either one. For hybrid, R5.

You can actually tell which one is the canon because you have to crush the blacks more to hide the noise in the lowlight areas. Sony also has more detail in these areas. (I'm a canon user...for now)

@3:53 Camera A is Canon, Camera B is Sony by skin tones. A is warmer, B is yellower. Even on my cellphone with KZread compression I can tell the difference. I never owned a Canon camera I only own a Sony A6500 so I can always spot what Sony skin tones look like I guess. And I didn't cheat.

We gonna ignore the fact that you used the camera handle as a viewfinder? 😂

R5 8k blows a7s3 4k. Would of been better to use that

I'm actually shocked on how soft the R5 footage looks! Happier now with a7S III as I was about to get the R5 first.

the difference between the R5 and A7S is night and day. A7S is SO much sharper and cleaner than the R5 - it barely takes a split-second to spot the difference. I can't believe how many people aren't pointing this out. Are most people partially blind?

sony still has a characteristic green tint, A - A -B - A - B - A -A - B ís Canon. I guess before continuing to watch, but still fail =))))

Don’t know if it’s me but, the Sony footage looks clearer or just better to me!!!! I’m glad I wasn’t stupid enough to buy the crippled hammer!

R5C MADE THE R5 IRRELEVANT

Thought Sony looked better in first compilation, canon in second. Sony seems to excel in warmer tone conditions whereas in green forestry or sultry scenarios Canon’s cool tones stand out. Or maybe it’s other factors either way I’m hating my life for not being able to afford both 😆or knowing a thing about video editing and having to start from scratch making owning either seem excessive lol.

I shoot With Sony so Much, Ill be dammed if it wasn't Camera B Lol.

Intro straight out of a bad pr0n script, I think...I mean I've been told its like that. I... Shit. I think both cameras put up a pretty solid showing but are complete third rate garbage compared to my ALEXA + MOTO razor combo. Get rekt'd.
