Your mom just wanted to have fun, without going through all the shenanigans. I'm sure she was a fine Lady; a classy, fun human being to share company with. This camera, and others from those years, were intended to have fun and to gather memories. But, above all, they were GOOD!!! Cheers!

Can you use it to make stop motion videos

What would be a reason as to why my date/time won't stay set? After I set it I click the set option but it never stays after turning it off and back on again.

I had the same problem with my Canon Powershot SX20 IS. Found this little battery compartment that holds the CR1220 on the bottom of the camera inside where the main batteries are installed. Just open the bottom battery compartment and you will see the small little part you need to slide off. Once you change the battery, it should now stay set. Hope this helps you.

@@66lwmorgan I had no idea either, until I discovered that little battery compartment. I always made sure to have new batteries and thought why is it doing this. It was driving me crazy lol to have to set it every time. Glad to have helped. You're very welcome!

Have you any idea why in my SX20 there are tiny dots/spots seen mainly over a blue background, is it because dust on the sensor?

I've got a customer who has been like almost like family to me, he says he can give me this model (SX20) or the Nikon P520 as a gift, obviously they are used in good condition (i seriously don't mind since it is a gift) which one should i choose? i'm not photography-savy person but i'm willing to seriously learn this craft. I

I just received this camera from a friend of mine. And I also have an Olympus mirrorless camera with a micro 4/3rds sensor that can take pictures at ISO 3200. Overall, I like the SX20 better even though the specs aren't better than the Olympus. The SX20 can take macro shots, it has a great zoom feature, it takes 4AA which I love (I use rechargeables) and the picture quality and colour reporduction is superb. This is a very, very good camera. I highly recommend the Canon bridge cameras that carry the SX series designation. As an all around camera, they are very good. It is not suitable for vlogging, just an fyi.

When playing back videos there is not audio, is there something to do about this. Bought this as a beginner you tube camera

Thanks I got it to work. Trying to save up for the Canon G7, it actually does good video quality, just wish it had WiFi.

Is there any way i can connect external mike with it?

My grandmother has one and I don’t think she paid $200 but ✋🏼 🤚🏼 I could be wrong. And she doesn’t use it as much and so I’m trying to learn it so I can take it with me when I go to college and take beautiful pictures of the snow.
