KZread's automatic thumbnails generation tool made a pretty funny thumbnail so I had to go with it. A lot more metal in this camera than I was expecting. Nothing too extraordinary inside otherwise.

Appreciate the video. Battery is in the back panel so can be replaced without teardown. Thanks for making the Video you saved my Camera

hey i've came across your video and i just found this old camera that belongs to my parents but its missing this little metal piece that closes to the battery so how can i fix this?

If it still latches and is just missing the piece that connects the batteries you could try some aluminum foil tape to recreate the circuit. Just make sure the pattern matches the original so you don't short out the batteries.

Probably because it is simple to use for non tech savvy people. Also has more zoom than a cheaper cellphone?

It has a big sensor. It was released in 2005 had many latest features unavailable in consumer cameras at that time.
