I had this camera about 10-12 years ago. It took amazing pictures all round. I was just looking at the pictures I took in Dubai and they still look great by today's standards. I replaced it with a Canon IXUS 132 camera which is very compact and has decent picture quality but I think the A460 was better.

@@zeed5764 these old digicams have the classic CCD sensor, which is old technology but has kind of a film look, with boosted colors. They feel.. nostalgic :)

When i was rummaging to my family's old box of stuffs i found the same exact camera. I managed to get the sd card out and look at my family's old photos during Christmas and new year's. I want to use it again for fun but i guess i need a new battery for that.

Hello Johny Nice tiny camera. Have a Canon A450 bought on ebay for 5,- EUR this year. Looks a bit like going to hell and back, but she works quiet good. Have loaded up two slideshows of samle pictures an my cannel. Have a nice sunday.

Hello Johny! after watching this video i bought myself one. It works fine but I don't know why all the non flash pictures look either all blurry; or if i took the picture outside, it comes out all white. I tried configurating it with less brightness but it doesnt't work. Any advice? On the other side, what did you pressed to get the snow/beach/etc mode? I tried it all :( thanks in advance!!!

Hello! Maybe it is somehow locked on a high exposure, or maybe manual focus... you should try a factory reset. If not, i don't know... it might be a little broken... those snow/beach modes, if i remember.. must be from the menu..

Hey Johny! Great video and cute camera, I had one of those cameras back in 2007, it was part of a kit they made us buy at Art Uni for some of the classes. All I remember is you could have different sounds for the shutter, like a cat meow I think it had a bird tweet too! Thanks for sharing!

Hey! My photos were also not great, maybe the light was helping me... I suggest resetting the camera to factory settings, maybe it has been decalibrated...

I would say, try fiddling with the manual mode a bit. I have the same camera and the photos look great!

I have the same camera and I want to transfer the pictures to my computer. When I plug it in nothing appears on the computer so I don't know if its compatible with these newer computers. How do I get the pictures?

I don't have a cable to plug it in to computer... i take out the memory card and insert it into SD card reader on laptop or PC..

These old cameras need smaller memory cards.. 64GB is too big. Just use something like... a 2 Gb or even smaller memory card. Enjoy!

Hello! Any new batteries will be good.. i think the best are Duracell and Energizer. If the camera takes a too bright photo try another shooting mode and settings. Hope it is not broken.. good luck!

maybe the connectors inside the camera have corrosion, try to clean the battery compartment with metal, or vinegar..

no, i don't belive it's possible... you have to backup your photos in a computer..

maybe the contacts inside the camera are corroded, or not touching the batteries very well, you may check for that...

What battery you are using?? Cuz im finding batteries that can long last when using.

usually the more expensive ones are the best, they last longer. Duracell for example

Hello! I would like to ask if this specitic camera requires recharchables batteries? Because I have the same model, but when I use normal batteries it keeps showing a low battery indicator/logo at the top of the screen, and then afterwards it will shut down and show the dialougue "charge your batteries" A response will be helpful

Hello! Rechargable batteries are ok but the voltage is lower. These cameras work best with new AA batteries. I would suggest to buy new ones and try again. Also check the contacts in the camera door for corrosion... good luck!

@@astr0wieee_ Energizer, Duracell and Varta are the best around here... for corrosion you can use vinegar and an old toothbrush. Soak, no worries.

What setting do you recommend or what are the required settings to use when taking a photo outside during daytime? Because when I take photos outside when there is any exposure of light, the brightness or the light itself overpowers the image itself and there will be no other visible objects. I have tried lowering the exposure to -2 and setting the ISO to 80 but it won't work. Any suggestions on what settings I shoutl use when I take photos outside?

It uses SD memory card but it must be small capacity, like.. 1Gb, around there...

I use some Sony sdhc card 16gb. Don't know how many gigabytes the camera understands but it works well.

Hello! No, if you zoom in the pictures and the lines are still there, that is a sensor problem.. it cannot be repaired..

But the lines appeard when the photo is taken with no flash, and when i take photo at places that have lighting, like at the light or something. The lines is like white

I don't have a 4 GB memory card, but the batteries should last a whole week-end of taking photos if they are good.

I don't remember, i have too many memory cards... anyone is good, if it's not too big. You need 1GB or less to be sure that it works with these old digicams.. enjoy!
