Really appreciate your detailed reviews! Do you know if there are noticeable roller marks when printing on photographic paper? (I understand it's not the main function of the printer, but I noticed some heavy marks on Epson L6490 when printing images on 180gsm paper, so I was wondering if the GX would do better by leaving less marks, despite the lower resolution)

I have not got L6490 in my hands so far, I hope I can check. But I have some experience with marks on PRO photo printers, where Canon did OK, very minor issues but sometimes important. Direct competitor to L6490 is more like GX4040 series, which has 3 tray, one of them is completely flat. I demonstrated in few weeks ago in the video kzread.info/dash/bejne/dp6dtteRXciwabA.html&t=

You can. Lower cassette can take A4/Letter and upper A5-A4, Legal, letter... and there is back feeder for all other sizes and heavier paper.

Where can I buy ink for gx7070? Philippines area

two questions : Is this better than a laser? it is used sporadically not very often. Do you print double-sided automatically

To be honest I prefer MAXIFY over laser, more features and lower cost. Printing is 2-sided and ink is waterproof, on GX7000 also scan is auto 2-sided.

Hi! Great content here! I was wondering.. as I am looking for a duplex scanner eco tank printer and I came across Canon Maxify GX7020 and Epson EcoTank Pro ET-5850.. Any chance you could help me pick between the two?

Go Canon, it has a USB input to print from USB, it has a replaceable printer head (no worries on fixed damage printer heads) and duplex scanner. Some people say the printing quality of the Canon is also better but I cant confirm this.

Check the driver settings or media settings. It takes the tray that is set or tray where the correct media is usually.

does the black get used for photo printing to get better contrasts then the g6000 ?

For photo print quality to G series is similar )but no borderless). Not sure how much black is used.

I will post more soon, laser is faster in scanning, document feeder is fasteran also 2-sided printing and laser is much more expensive, copy speed is similar.

How vibrant are the prints? Are the colors really vibrant?

If you are looking for vibrant prints then pigment ink business printer is not the choice. But if you need business quality on office paper that will last and is water resistant then this is a great printer. For vibrant print on glossy paper check PIXMA G600 series

Hello. What are the differences between GX7040, GX7050 and GX7070 models? Can it print on card/paper about 200g/sm? Are there any problems with GX7040/7050 models, any complaints from customers ? I have read some bad reviews for nozzle clogs and white straps on printouts? Any complaints on that issue? I would like to buy GX7040 or GX7050 model, so I am asking because I have no possibility to go store and see printout or to try test model. Thanks.

GX70x0 are all the same, the 3rd number is Canon regional naming. It can print 200 g/sm, no problems so far, the output document quality is nice. here I did comparison with laser, also the document quality, I hope this helps kzread.info/dash/bejne/qnuG2cSFmpWrpJs.html

The Canon web site says the print heads are user replaceable along with the maintenance box.

The 2 scanner have the sane quality whereas the one above is smaller?

Yes, they seem to be the same quality. The bottom moves when you scan from glass, the upper is fixed and used only when 2-sided scan is set.

This printer can create a composite black like Epson ?

I do not have info on composite black, but I do not see a reason for that as you have black ink itself in the printer.

What kind of limitations with PDF files? What does PDF limited print mean?

Thnx for your comment. I did not investigate a lot, but I could print only PDFs created with the device and not others that I downloaded but could be printed on other laser MFPs with USB memory.

Yes, all MAXIFY models have pigment inks and they are water resistant

Yes it does, I recommend the GX7000 with 3 trays for paper, so you can have different sizes of paper at the same time in the printer

@@PrintCloud Really appreciate for your advice. I am making up my mind to go with GX7070 or L6170 or L6550... My major requirements are to print probably around 1000+ marketing material/flyers per month and occasionally document scanning for legal documents for my home office. L6550 and GX7070 have a higher upfront cost and also cost per page(with more expensive ink refill). But these models can do 2-side scanning. It is good to seek your expert opinion on my case. @@draganskrbic5314 Nisam na kraju sam uzeo epson eco tank printer i može 350 gramski samo ga treba malo pogurati na početku, ispada da većina inkjet printera može podnjeti veće gramaže jer papir ne prolazi kroz veliki broj valjaka kao kod laserskih printera.

Yes, Airprint for print and scan is supported, you just install IJ Scan Utility software. You can also use scan to email, scan to cloud… to scan.

Brother please, whenever you make printer review please show us the copy speed black and white from flatbed, that is first copy out time (FCOT). Because nobody use ADF for copy. It is not possible to make copy of ID CARD, books etc. 99.99999 percent use flatbed.
