Canon EOS M50 Mark II Beginner Night Photography Tutorial
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
This tutorial also works with the original M50 and is designed to make sure any beginner can get a well exposed image that is in focus in any low light or dark situation.
In my years of teaching night photography, I have found this may be the easiest beginner camera for night photography and the image quality is high quality!
Camera:

Terrific camera! My beginner photography for that camera should be up this weekend.
I am very new to photography, I usually shoot on automatic mode, but trying to get out of my comfort zone and experiment. You were very through in your explanation on how to take night photos. It helped me understand the settings more. Thank you for reminding us to put the settings back to normal after the night shoot.

I am so thrilled, I hope you get some great shots. The m50 is so easy and so good!
I have had my Canon M50 camera for over a year. I knew that it took great pictures with vibrant color. After watching two of your videos, I learned more in about an hour, than I knew all the time I have owned the camera. I watched The Easier Camera for Beginners and Easiest Camera for Night Photography. They were just great. I cannot tell you how much I learned and how my photos have improved. Thank you so much. These should come as a recommendation with the purchase of either of these cameras.

Dude, you are an absolute lightsaver, I've just turned on focus peaking and I'm never turning it off. I was quite concerned about focus because I used to digital zoom on my old Canon 700D from 10 years ago, but as far as I know, the M50 doesn't have digital zoon, instead, it has something much better.

Very helpful video! very well explained, I am looking to get a camera next year, and I am already preparing myself into learning this stuff, so I know what to do when I buy my camera, I might buy the Canon M50 mark2.. I only have to know what lenses I could possibly buy after getting the camera, because I have an broken EOS 700D with kitlens, 18 - 55 mm and I think a 10 - 35mm lens, and I am not sure if they fit on the M50 mark 2 or if I need an adapter for it, and if so, what kind of adapter, it's been a long time since I was into photography so I have really no idea anymore! thanks for this video, appreciate this a lot!

Okay, so now my photos are not shaky anymore. If the wind is not blowing or idk, the ground is not shaking. But i have one q. When i want to shoot all black sky with stars, its hard to perfectly focus on the stars cuz the red pointer of what i have in focus is not mostly visible. So i would like to get some lens with infinity focus, but i have a hard time with finding either, lens for m50 mark2 with infinity focus, or some other lens with suitable adaper to m50. So may i ask for some reccomendation of these lens that i could possibly buy and use? Thanks a lot.
Nice video, can you tell me please, how shots this video in your studio, it’s very focused and crisp, regards
Recently purchased a EOS M50 Mark II and found this (and the other tutorial) to be the best in finding my way around my camera. Thank you very much. Do you have any suggestions for moon photography? Would be very grateful for any tips.

M Mode 1/125 shutter f8 Then play with ISO settings until you get the desired look. F6.3 could work too.
to note magnify only works in one shot mode, doesn't work in servo great video!

Hi! I love your video!, Do you recommend the M50 for wedding and parties pictures? Im going to start as a photographer with a dj, so Im going to use it for this type of pictures

Жыл бұрын
Yes but get the 22mm prime lens. You'll need it in darker areas. It lets in 4x more light, no camera flash needed.
I saw a UFO early this morning at 6 am 50 minutes, before the Sun rose & I didn't expect it at all, i was so amazed that i didn't cancel my long exposure & choose my iPhone to try to get it on video. Unfortunately my iPhoneXr camera isn't good at night & in the area of the Sky, the UFO was in, there was a weird Green Haze on the video, i guess it had some sort of frequency to block cameras. I hope to wake up early & see it again. It was unexpected & i didn't know, how to capture such a dark object with no light, hopefully this helps Me.
hi Chris thanks for the great tutorial I just had a go but the photos came out grainy any tips how to fix this ?
@attrell
Жыл бұрын
Try a lower ISO value like 1600 or even 800 and see if that works better.
I would say second hand 600d with the 50mm 1.8. Or maybe the 24mm 2.8.
Ho w do i do continuous shooting for star trails, as I don't see any option inbuilt.
Do you post process your photos? And what editing app your using?

I use the basic Lightroom features like contrast, shadows, straighten, highlights etc.
Hey Man, if you have tried the SONY ZV E10, which camera clicks better photos SONY ZVE10 or Canon M50 Mark ii?

Never tried it, but I would probably say the Sony is.
Hi please can you help ? My M50 mark ii doesn't record when I connect it to my telescope, is there something I'm doing wrong ?
Hi. I’m just beginning with my M50m2 and am keen to shoot the moon. No matter what I do I get a bright pinprick in the photo with none of the great detail that I’ve seen with recent ‘super moons’. I’m told elsewhere that telephoto lens is the answer? Will the Sigma 16mm f1.4 help in this regard?
@attrell
Жыл бұрын
Telephoto lens and use manual mode at 1/125 shutter f/8 aperture and then start at 100ISO and work your way up until you get what you want.
Good video for pictures but what about using the video mode?

Use manual mode when you are away from all light sources. If in the city, use TV mode.
I'm here because I see the image on video with a lot of stars and need the parameters and real picture, I want to buy a M50 to astrophotography, planetary, wide and deep sky too, you recommend the M50 to astrophotography or photography in all scenarios
