Canon EOS C70: Bits and Bobs

Ғылым және технология

The Canon C70 is an impressive cinema camera, giving you serious movie-making capability for an impressively small price and form factor. And, as you’d expect, there are a ton of great reviews online about it, from the likes of Philip Bloom, Gerald Undone, CVP, Tyler Stalman, and many more.
But there are a few points about the camera that I had trouble figuring out before buying it, and since I did buy it, and I’ve been using it for well over a year now, I thought I’d share these here for the benefit of anyone else looking at this camera. So this video will give you my impressions of the C70, and fill in some techie details about the camera which I found hard to get online.

    @@The_Idea_of_Dream_Vision Thanks, but with 136 subs, I don't really have that kind of bargaining power.

    Hi Ian, do you remember the name of the Arca Swiss plate that you use on the bottom of the C70?

  • @atticuslake

    @atticuslake

    Hi Brandon, I believe that is the "Harwerrel 120mm Quick Release Plate Fits Arca-Swiss". 120mm is the overall length of the plate. The key is that a plate with holes on a 50mm spacing doesn't work, because the holes on the camera are *just over* 50mm apart -- I think they're actually 2 inches.

    Thanks Victor! The audio in these videos was a bit of a mish-mash, but that one is the Sennheiser MKE2, with the AVX wireless kit. I think I've done some work in post to make it less muffled there, because the mic placement you see -- buried in the collar of my wooly jumper -- was a mistake. But overall, the Sennheiser was great. For more on it, see kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZWFol66KfaraprQ.html
