    Very informative video. You covered the EF features quite nicely. I have two of these great cameras and prefer them over my A-1. I know this video is 4 years old, bit it is still quite relevant. Been shooting these Canon film cameras since the 70’s and still love them. Again… good job!

    @@thephotographersbag I have put batteries in and everything appears to be good, I've compared the metering to my EOS 1300D and they match. I came with a Tamron 2.5 28mm lens with a Tamron Adaptall 2 Telemore 95. There is a light seal missing from inside the lens prism, so I'm going to put all new light seals in before I try it with some film.

    Hi, Japan is the best place for quality used gear, they really look after their stuff, I get a lot of Nikon gear from there, cheaper, faster and better quality than the US, shipping costs to Europe are crazy from the States My only advice is don't use the Japanese postal service, they are very slow, I use FedEx, it's a lot lot faster and no dearer, the 20% import duty is a pain though, hope it all goes well, great chunk of a camera, enjoy!

    @@thephotographersbag It seems the electronics don't work. New batteries don't help, and, no one will repair it. Looks like these were a technician's nightmare to fix. Shutter works up to the point that needs the battery. I guess I can use it to take photos, but what's the point. Looks good on the shelf!

    @@carbonejack Hi, only the long shutter speeds are electronically controlled, the shutter should work fine at the usual fraction of a second settings, no batteries means no metering but the aperture can be set manually on the lens, if you use an external light meter or an app on your phone it will work fine, agreed they can be a pig to work on, the shutter blades are the usual suspects as they get gummed up with dissolving light sealant material, if sold as working 100% then you have a claim against the seller, where do you live?

    Hello Sir, I have a question. I usually shoot in Aperture Priority, will I be able with this Camera to set the desired Aperture, and the metering will tell me whether it's under/over exposed, or tells me the Shutter speed I should use? Thank You!

    Hello ! How can I change the lens of the camera ? Thank you

  • @thephotographersbag

    @thephotographersbag

    2 жыл бұрын

    Hi, I think changing the lens is shown in the video, there were 2 styles of lens, the early version have a chrome ring near the camera body and a locking tab to the right on the lens barrel, depress the tab and turn the ring anticlockwise until the dots line up, then gently pull the lens away from the camera, the later style lenses do not have the chrome ring, with these just push the tab and turn the whole lens anticlockwise to release To attach a lens line up the dot on the lens with the one on the camera body and turn clockwise until you hear the click.....
