THANK YOU !!! I was so worried when my shutter curtain getting stuck when taking photos, I had to press shutter twice to take photos too, THANK YOU SO MUCH !!

My T7 doesn't seem to have a Mirror Lockup button as such, but has a Shutter AE Lock button setting under Custom Functions. My camera was apparently set to not let the shutter release if the focus or exposure wasn't correct. Thank you for this video, I think it has solved my problem.

Mirror lockup... This isn't enabled by default. If you have this enabled, you just don't know what you are doing. This is for specific usecases.

Thats same as Nikons MUP mode (mirror up) It prevents from shaking while taking something very still

It's not a bug, it's a feature
