From a fellow open boater and c-1 paddler. That was a fine run and some big pushy squirrelly water. Not sure I ever ran anything like that. Well Done.

How do you like the blunter nosed Octane vs something like Option or LeEdge?

It is very forgiving and dry, however the one scenario in which it is not, is on shallow angle slides with a hole at the bottom. In those cases you cant get the bow up enough since the stern is still on the slide and the flat front sends water straight up to land on your lap, where as the option would part the water to the sides. What it boils down to is Jeremy was trying to pack a ton of volume into a short boat and there was nowhere else to put it. I have a blast in it and its confidence inspiring enough to run the Raquette so that says alot.
