I was thinking of getting this engine for my gheenoe. How fast do you think it pushes yours?

I get about 8 mph at 3/4 throttle more or less depending on the wind. It does not go any faster at full throttle it only makes more noise. This boat only weighs about 70 pounds, a gheenoe is going to be heavier than that.

@@skswig1 Thanks for the reply. I would be happy with that speed. My gheenoe is Caracal 15ft fiberglass gheenoe. On the rear flat it has more of a keel than a flat portion for planing. I need the speed for going upriver against the current which flows about 2.5 mph most times
