Cannon - DJ’s Tramline

DJ’s Tramline (black) is one of the most famous trails in the East, and is rated on many websites as not only one of the toughest trails in the East but the US. This trail runs right under Cannon’s Tram, and begins as a glade that empties into the trail section. The trail section is very long and rocky, and in some areas requires rock/cliff jumps and jump turns. It is also very steep with a sustained pitch of 32 degrees. Because of how treacherous it is, however, it is only open a few days a season, or may not even open at all.

I just did Cannon for the first time today and this trail was closed but this video does not do justice of just how steep this trail actually is. You’re basically skiing down a cliff. Mad props to you for making it down

Correct this was never meant to be skiable terrain, it was cleared for the construction of the tram hence the boulders. Not only is the slope itself steep as shit but some of these boulders are absolutely massive and create big drops.
Good stuff.
I was the first one down Sunday, it was treacherous super icy

Yeah at the beginning of the day it was pretty bad but it got warm out and softened up
