This jelly looks great! I love the fact that you #SayYEStoSafeCanning! I didn't realize that you're ambidextrous. The fact that you were born left-handed means you're extra intelligent. That's what my left-handed mother always told me, at least. We use butter pats to keep the jelly free of foam, too. Steam canning is so fun and saves valuable fresh water. Love that!

Years ago my family used to top the jelly jar with wax then the lid then the ring I am wondering if that was a process from farm life many years ago I have not seen anything posted regarding canning wax One of the local stores here still sells it though.

The jelly looks delicious! I don't have a steam canner. Can this be processed in a hot water bath and if so for how long?

you make it look so easy. I was reading up on a different steam canner and it doesn't work at 7000 feet. I have made jams in a water bath canner, but I want to conserve water and was wondering if I can pressure can jellies and jams. Do you know if it will work?

Does the jelly not have a problem setting up with the humidity from the rain?

I didn’t think that would be an issue but sometimes it takes some jellies more than three weeks to set up. Then if it still fails to set up you can reprocess and directions are with the pectin box.

So you can make jelly out of any 100% fruit juice? As long as you add the other ingredients? (Sorry if I missed it in there somewhere)

Well you can’t do white peaches or elderberry… it’s best to follow the guidelines that are in that book. I can’t just show it due to copyright.

Hello Leann and family! Would you please lend me your advice? I will be spending an extended period of time outside of the USA. I have decided to take a pressure and water bath canner with me. I will not have access to items such as the pectin you used here for the jelly. Would you kindly tell me which brand and quantity you would recommend if say I were to plan to make 48 to 60 pints of jelly /jam? Thank you, been learning and enjoying your channel and variety of videos. P.S Is Ambidextrous the word you were searching for? You had my daughter and I laughing so hard!

If I may add a note here, taking your own pressure canner and waterbath canner with you is a great idea but be aware your plugs will not be compatible with most sockets in other countries. Be sure to get the appropriate adapter. If you are out of country a lot you will already know this-so just ignore me and watch me blush. 😄

@@joylouise5417 Certainly a wise consideration. I have acquired some relevant adapters as well as surge protectors(more so for overall fire protection than the device themselves.) 😀
