    Making blueberry butter now. But I’m using 4 lbs of frozen. Will have to adjust the other ingredients accordingly. Ty!!

    Why do you need any sugar, are berries not sweet enough?

    In order to get a vacuum seal on the jar I water bath can them.

    @@Britineeng After the filled jars are in the water I bring the water to a boil for about 10 minutes, this forces the oxygen out of the filled jar so a vacuum seal is created. In order to prevent microorganisms from growing the oxygen needs to be removed from the jar.

    Hi Judy. You shouldn't need to add water. The berries will create plenty on their own, plus there is the lemon juice added to increase acidity. When water bath canning you want your acid levels on the high side. Low acid foods should be pressure canned. Hope this helps!
