I'll give you a thumbs up 10 billion years later cus you were paying attention to the lyrics.

I really dig the production on this album. There is a nice separation with the instruments and it’s not drowning in low end frequencies making everything muddy. The riffing sounds sharp and the bass inhabitants it’s own place in the mix. It may not be as dense as the newer stuff but this sound has always struck a chord with me. Hearing Alex is paramount to me in this band, it’s like Steve Harris in Maiden. The bass is a central instrument in these songs and rings particularly true with this album...

It’s actually a fuller and more well rounded mix than Neil Kernon’s other CC producer credit of the Wretched Spawn. Wonder why they went so scooped and screechy on that one.

This was the track that made me a fan of death metal. The way those first 3 riffs work together just got me hooked

I used to listen to this song every morning while riding my bike to work from Riviera Beach, FL to Palm Beach Gardens, FL ( I worked at Panera Bread as the prep guy) 🙃 it gave me the energy and mood to get sh!t done. This 1 song helped get me through almost 10 years ago and still gives me joy today lmao 🤣

This is as original as it gets. So much creativity . If u think the vocals sound stupid or lack talent you should just keep listening to the radio like all the other mindless followers.

You should listen to more of their stuff. The newer stuff sounds a lot cleaner than the older stuff probably because at a certain point they could afford better recording quality and also the original lead singer left and joined six feet under the new guy is a lot easier to understand in my opinion. definitely check out the song “scourge of iron” if you haven’t yet.

Oh the memories I have of this album. Cannibal Corpse ~ "Gore Obsessed"......this is one of my favorites and I will tell you why. I accidently order this album. I want "Gallery of Suicide" and they sent me this. At first I was piss, but say Fuck It and bought. This is on my top ten favorites. "Butchered at Birth" - "Gallery of Suicide" - "Gore Obsessed" - etc etc. I seen them up in Clinton, IA in November of 2002. Also playing was Deeds of Flesh, Macabre, Hate Eternal, One Shot, One Kill and of course head lining....Cannibal Corpse. It was a show to never forget. Yes it was 13 years ago but I will NEVER forget it..... :) :)

This song has slowly became one of my favourites from the all mighty Cannibal Corpse, this album in general has really grown on me. It definitely takes 3rd place on my podium, second place for me is a toss up between: Gallery of suicide and Evisceration plague, Bloodthirst being my personal favourite, but that's just my opinion, but i love every single Corpse album.

Wish the drums had more presence on this track. Paul is one of my biggest inspirations.

I just recently heard this song and the main riff just fucking kicks ass. It has a very bluesy feeling, but fitting for Death Metal. It's beautiful, I love it. I'm not sure why this is my least listened to Cannibal album.
