Thanks so much for your kind words! It's so wonderful to hear people get excited to try things I present in videos. Makes my heart happy! I do really suggest adding the "extra" seasoning like what I did to each jar... These are delicious!!

Hiya Lorrie! I missed seeing a couple of your videos so I'm catching up. I worked at Applebees for a couple years & can still remember the smell of fajitas coming out of the kitchen. I'm not a fan of the peppers & onions so I never became a fajita fan. I'd like to know what the ground beef came out like. Adding water just doesn't compute in my brain, though you did add plenty of seasoning. I've been stagnant on making meals in jars & stuck on single ingredients bc I don't want mushy stuff with the meats but i have so many quart jars that need to be put to use! I need to get unstuck! I think I'm getting in my own way in my head. Great video as usual! Many Blessings to you my friend! 🧡

The ground beef ones came out very much like the recipe for burrito in a jar. And yes....sometimes we become our own worst enemy. So I totally understand! Just keep moving forward. Even if its not what you "hope" to be doing. Forward motion is still positive. And meal plans can pull together very quickly with single item jars.

Perfection in a jar! Question..do you think there would be any sort of different texture in both the meat and vegetables if you had water bathed it for 3-hours I keep wondering this? I have yet to water bath can any meat product.

I personally do not see much difference in the completed texture between the two methods. I choose to hot water bath meat that is combined with tomato or sugary sauces to prevent scorching. But this recipe didn't have the risk of that. I do encourage you to try hot water bathing meat or veggies....simply to get a feel for how often you need to replenish the water level, ect. It's a good skill to have moving forward in these uncertain times.

That bowl is really old....like 30+ years. But I believe it's a 10-12 quart bread bowl. Stainless steel. May be called a mixing bowl now days?

I have 3 of them...and have loved them well for years. I do recommend them, just don't know where to send you shopping. We always called them bread bowls because you can mix, kneed, and rise the dough all in the one bowl.
