How long is the cartridge of insulin good for in the fridge after opening ????

I know you might not be looking at comments anymore but i wanted to use 8mm needles and vetpen only have 12s. So universal needles, like the ones you've shown fit the vetpen?
Do you leave the cartridge in the pen ? Do you need to be careful keeping the pen upright, thankyou
