Have spoken with CANiK we are starting the process to return this $950 gun that was completely worthless out of the box. They were not surprised that a TTI needed to come back for warranty work. and the employees have been nice so far.

had same issue, trimmed the extractor spring and that took care of the issue for me. zero malfunctions after that with 3 different mags and stock recoil spring.

That is great info! I sent mine back to see how Century Arms/ CANiK does it fixing the issue. If they can't figure it out I will give it a try!

My Canik TTI had 15-20% of rounds FTRTB. I sent it to Century Arms 8 weeks ago for warranty service (at their expense) and just got it back. They replaced the extractor spring, installed a stiffer recoil spring assembly, and polished the barrel ramp. I ran 250 rds through it yesterday with no problem. Ignore all the weenies who say these TTI malfunctions are due to limp-wristing and you should expect a new pistol to malfunction until you’ve “broken it in” etc. A new gun should work, period. Don’t accept less.

I am so glad that they got it working! I hope I am so lucky. It is such a cool gun, I think we would all be happy if they "run" I am going to do another video when I get mine back to let people know how it works out for me.

For the price you paid it should run , and there shouldn't be a finish issue. A couple of weeks ago @garageguy879 had a kel-tec p17 that he bought and it had issues. Two of my friends have the same gun with no problems. Hope the get you gun fixed and back to you quickly

Thank you so much for your wishes. I called them today and they said "the shadow" is intentional but said it not having shadow throughout is not right. They made it sound like I am not the only person with TTI problems. I will do another video explaining how the return process goes. Hopefully they will quickly take it back amd get it running for me. Thanks for your kind wishes amd supporting the channel.

I have one that is the same as yours's failure to return to battery and also failure to fire. I just got it back from the factory and it has the same problems. They gave me no explanation of repairs just a parts list that says they replaced the striker assembly and recoil spring. The outside of my slide looks somewhat like yours I believe this is just poor craftsmanship. The turnaround on the non-repair was 4 weeks. When it comes back from repair it comes with another spring heavier than all the springs and this is supposed to take care of the failure to return to battery. It doesn't.

I called and they said that is by design. When explained it was on the front left slide serrations a little on the front right amd none on the back they said that was wrong. Then I told them about the over 10% failure rate and they said someone will reach out tomorrow. Let's see if they do.

Just picked up mine last week. What ammo were you using? I’m going to run 115 grain blazer brass. It does say on the box not to use their ammo with a compensated barrel 😂

Let me know how yours runs. I know some have had no issues with their's amd many have had to send their's back. One guy sent it back and already has it back no better than before. Mine is back to CANiK. They did not fight me at all. So please reach back out to let me know how yours does.

Wow that not cool. The only time I sent a handgun back to the manufacturer was because I over oiled them. I will definitely let you know how it runs. I kinda jumped the gun on this handgun 😂. I like to wait about a year or two before I make a purchase so the company can iron out issues.

Just took the TTI out today. Shot 200 rounds of blazer brass 115 grain FMJ. I had no real issues. I had a light primer strike. The round fired after re chambered it again. And a few times the slide needed a push to chamber a round. I owe that to me not applying enough oil. I shot 50 grain ammo that was reloaded and it ran just fine. The stock recoil spring was used for all the rounds fired. The guns stippling was too much for me tho. It really ripped my hand up. That’s the only downside but a big one in my book.
