Canibus has always been a good guy. When I was 16 I sent him an email with some of my music and he actually wrote back saying he listened to my stuff and thought it had potential. Gave me advice and told me not to give up. This was 2008 and I'm a film composer now but when you walk into my studio the first thing you'll see is a big Canibus poster on the wall, because that dude is my hero.

People say Eminem won the beef because he had a better career, but canibus has way more rhymes under his belt, and I honestly think he would win in a real lyricist battle. They both kind of half assed the beef and diss tracks and if they both took it serious, it could’ve been one of the greatest battles of all time. I liked what Joyner Lucas and Tory Lanez did when they were dropping a song back-and-forth to each other in a matter of days just for fun and to show off skills.

It's always difficult when trust issues get in the way of relationships, and it's understandable that Canibus would feel regretful about how things went down with Eminem. It takes a lot of courage to admit when you've made a mistake, and I think that it's great that Canibus is reflecting on his past actions and trying to make amends. Nobody ever got Bis to come out his shell and express his feelings like this, not without Bis getting angry and changing the subject in the process. I'm telling you these clips are giving me life right now. This one here might be my favorite of the 3 or 4 that they released. To know how he felt in those moments. At the times I looked at Canibus as a machine that simply printed out endless pages of bars, F whoever feelings got hurt, he was a warrior and this is all he was created to do. From 2000 BC to Mic Club to Rip The Jacker to Lyrical Law... Bar after bar after bar, FHYF! But to hear him speak on how some of these moments made him feel. How he didn't really want the journey to be as abrasive as it turned out to be but the powers that be manipulated things so he felt that pressure and had to be a savage on every track or a savage in face to face contact cause he didn't know who to trust. My God man I could listen to this King speak for ages and never get bored. How he just has so much to say about all these time stamps in hip hop history... This is magical what we are getting here and I gotta say, two clips of the few that dropped so far Canibus has the best gunshot outros I can remember on here. The I didn't think we'd be battling for 25 years shit with LL Cool J and this "the truth about it is, I really just needed a hug man"... Both them shits took me out. There was a reason he always wanted to be the anchor on those tracks... These gunshot hardouts are more of that in Pod form. I'm loving this interview! 💪🏽💯 It's the KZread forensics for me!! 😂😂😂 💯Yo ain't nothin like HipHop 🏹🏹🏹🙌🏾 n I mean the culture, not the "industry" cuz we was never meant to go 'mainstream' but look how far we came!!! 💪🏽✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿I so love HipHop, we literally grew up together...I'm born 1974...me HipHop n SNL (Eddie Murphy days is the 1's I remember 😅) But yeah I mean the entire world follows us, That's huge!!!! 💪🏽 My hubby is Jamaican and he be like I should have been a hip-hop historian, I said "I Am, n my b-boy stance lol...I'm such a tom girl still!!! 😆 Fyi My brother is a DJ from the beginning back when it was all about the DJ... I'm talkin wheels are steel/turntables mixing and scratchin for real... not this button pressing stuff 🙄 now erbody is a "DJ" or think they are... But I am mad at em, get that paper So with all that said, I really appreciate these clips unless I know that We (real hip hop heads )still out here 🙌🏾 Math doing your thing!!!! 💪🏽✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿

thank you ma. there needs to be peace for the gods
I’m telling you man….Math got something here. These interviews are classics as they air. People come on this show and really change the narrative. Luv it
I can respect Canibus for being honest about what he went through, and being mature enough to accept his part in it. I do wish that He and Em could of squashed their beef sooner because they could of did some great work together. Hopefully this show can produce that.
One if the best interviews and it proves that your platform is a safe heaven for artists to share their experiences and emotions... Much Respect!
Really nice to see. Loving this interview so far. Props to Canibus.
Great conversation. Really sometimes we brother’s just need a hug💯😂
Math delivered a Canibus and Cormega interview. Bro he’s killing the podcast/interview game.

Now that’s squashed🙏🏽 we need a Em & Canibus Feature ASAP🎉🎉
Canibus is one of the realest interviews Math had! I’m looking out for that Em & Bus single too!
These interviews have me laughing, put me in my feelings, get me upset, and makes my eyes water. Shits too real, and I can’t look away! You get your flowers, Mr. Hoffa! Not everyone got those interview skills on lock like you do!

Stan is truly INCREDIBLE. No “ifs” “ands” or “buts” about. Good looks on the Canibus interview Math

I always thought CANIBUS was extremely talented. One of the smartest rappers alive. I still say he won that battle against LL with 2nd Round Knockout. With that said I was annoyed him and Em were beefing because Em is my dude. Big props to CANIBUS for being a grown ass man talking about all this now. Great segment!
glad someone asked him this
That’s dope to get his perspective on it now. He’s very honest and transparent to everything that happened
Thank you Canibus for being so honest and open
This Destroys the Notebook Incidence in My Mind , Real Grown Man Shi Bis 💪🏾
It's Dope to see CAN-I-BUS he seems healthy and in a good place 💯💯
I've learned soo much from Canibus. Thank you. Salute to the whole My Expert Opinion council and staff. Great show.
"Em, HE DIDN'T MEAN IT!!!!!"
That's the most fire shit ever! Feels good to see the verbal Titans be vulnerable, it's ok to be a monster on the mic but it's also ok to be human..... Bravo! ❤️
I was never in Canibus shoes but I can almost relate to what he saying.,. When you feel the world is at you who can you really trust.,.. Also, no one really knew Em was going to be what he was.. To Canibus he was just another emcee at that time.
Super dope Math. Thanks for this king.
Excellent video clip. Can’t wait to watch the whole interview.
In the multiverse Rip The Jacker and Slimshady are a super duo with classic albums.
It takes more courage to be vulnerable than to put on a front
CANIBUS' humility is golden. Very refreshing to hear this energy.
Thank you for getting this explanation
Man I like cannibus alot more now. He did all that stuff by himself and still a man, Gotta respect it.
Idk about Stan being inspired from Bus though 😂 that’d be a wild history twist. Imagine Em waiting outside in the snow in Denver outside Can show lol
Thank you for perspective. Respect Canibus
Cannabis is hella humble for being able to go on record and keeping everything 💯 with how he felt things went down from his view point while admitting he was wrong. Cannabis was a beast in his prime too.
This is definitely one I need to watch the full episode of! Truth being told and laughter all around
thank you math we love the canibus interview we appreciate more than you know it cleared up a lot of things as a fan of him
