Well in an apples defense they are one of the least Sugary fruits out there except honey crisps and such but like a red delicious has a lower sugar content

you can now buy tanghulu frozen at costco- grapes, oranges and strawberries. tanghulu is hard sugar coated fruit without the red dye.

Tanghulu is 2 parts sugar to one part water, DO NOT STIR. It was to reach 300° F or it won't harden properly and your fruit has to be dry.

When my husband was still working here in Phoenix, AZ I use to freeze our grapes and hevwould much on those ask a snack during 115 degree whether. Pretty soon the guys at work were carrying around little bags of frozen grapes. .😂❤ There would be all these little bags of frozen grapes with their initials on them in their lunch room freezer..😂😂 like little kids in kindergarten. .😂😂

If you don’t know : I think this is the sweet that originated from Japan or China it is called tang Hulu which is a fruit dipped in a sugary glaze like melted sugar, but sometimes people use jolly ranchers but if you wanna get really creative, you can use caramel personally I like normal apples and fruit, but this is a new generation of fruit

Not tbsi technique helped so much l, wed always have to stick them in the freezer and they still melt , but doing this technique helped for them to already be froze then after we do this we still stick them in the freezer to be cold and fresh and more frozen/cold ty so muchh🎉🎉💞.

Hello happy Sunday … If you don’t temp the candy mixture right it will make the candy sticky so always make sure to temp your candy at 300 Degrees before turning the heat off. Also try dipping the grapes only once so the shell of the candy is super thin and not to thick .

Can you reuse the candy mixture if there's some leftover? And how do you reheat it if so

Hello I personally have never saved left overs because the candy hardens pretty fast so I typically would throw any remaining candy away just to avoid ruining my pan , also storing it would be a big challenge especially getting that hard candy out of any container or glass jar. My suggestion would be to make a fresh new batch whenever you need it .

I just thought of something …, Now I have never tried this before but maybe just maybe you can get a candy silicone mold because I think they can take in high heat like a lollipop mold just to be able to store the candy better once it hardens and cools down you can pop them out of the silicone and put into a ziplock bag for later use . To reheat the candy put it back into the sauce pan turn burner on low and watch it melt down slowly. That might work .

No it just hardens the candy but it has to be ice water if you dip into hot water that will definitely melt and break up the candy

The crazy part is thanks to a friend of mine i freeze my grapes. It makes a nice snack you can suck on the grape and as it falls eventually you'll be able to chew it. And you don't even have to cover it in sugar
