This brings me back. As a junior, I bowled in leagues for seven years, from sixth grade through my senior year of high school. I was on the Massachusetts Junior State Championship team in 1975, but I was not nearly as good as these kids.. Three of them are outstanding, and it is amazing the fourth qualified after bowling for only two weeks. The 1-7-10 pickups were incredible. Thank you for bringing us this video.

I see a lot of laughing at this, but candlepin is quite a bit more difficult than standard tenpin in certain ways. And to people saying they'd throw the ball a lot faster, it's common for a high-speed roll to simply send one pin directly into the one behind it and hit nothing else. Don't knock it 'til you try it... unless laughing at people is really what turns your crank.

Much more difficult than 10 pin. And if you knock all pins down in all ten frames you only score 100. The highest 3 game score for pro adults is 545 (out of 900) so you understand this is a very difficult game. Much harder then regular 10 pin bowling.

A really good bowler has about a 1 in 7 or 8 shot of a strike. So, the chances of getting 12 straight is 1 in 7 or 8 to the 12th power. You’d have a way better chance of surviving 2 lightning strikes in the same afternoon. Strikes are largely luck, though the best bowlers will certainly make more.

Matt Moorlach There is a whole league at my bowling alley on saturdays, they all meet up there and my dad, aunt, grandpa, and my grandma who bowls on tuesdays bowl there. I'm basically my young dad, I'm 13 starting bowling again after I cracked a ball, don't ask. I'm him because his dad, my grandpa, or as my friend calls him, which her mom bowls, she calls my grandpa the walking ATM. Like, what? My grandpa took my dad to a bowling alley every certain day, and bowl and he started at , I started a bit early, but restarted at 13. Most of my friends there are all there because their parents or grandparents bowl.

Matt Moorlach This looks ridicously hard, and are they using the candle pin alleys balls, don't they have their own, if they're such "big league" they must be stupidly weak to do this, no offense, I'm bowling with a 16 pound ball and I'm short midget 13 year old, well I'm 5 something feet, not really a midget, but I'm short. So, if they're all bowling with these tiny balls they're weak. Like, I can bowl with 16 pins, and they should be bowling in real bowling their all 11 year olds..... This looks kind of bowling. Btw, 30% of my dad's side of the family are bowlers.

There is no hook involved in this, just throwing a half pound ball down the lane trying to get lucky. I could keep going on and on about this, but I think I've said enough

I got ya. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to flame on you. I respect your opinion and I enjoy 10 pin bowling myself. I live in New Hampshire and the closest 10 pin bowling house is 30 or so miles away when I have half a dozen candlepin houses within 30 miles. So, I'm more bias towards candlepin. I just see all of the comments here saying "it isn't bowling". And "it looks stupid". Or "it's a ripoff." When he/she has never tried it.

These kids are 11, and I'm 13, at that age I was bowling with 13's, how are they bowling with these balls barely 2 pounds. My whole family would laugh 30% of my dad's side are all bowlers, and I might become one soon too.

To everyone freaking out about this not being bowling: at no point does this video or title try to convince you that it's anything other the candlepin bowling, which is its own game. Just cause you play bowling doesn't make this a fake game. Also, it's for young children to appear to be having fun, if you're so against that you need to grow up a bit

Well bowling is when you roll or bounce a ball. Which is exactly what they're doing. This isn't "10-pin bowling." But it's bowling. It's candlestick bowling. And adults play this professionally as well. kzread.info/dash/bejne/eoCntK2AibG-mdI.html

Justin Hill ok well when u see one of the greatest bowlers in the world come from candle pin let me know. Cause as I can see it’s nothing like bowling. It’s not pro candle pin u can tell because none of them are sponsored. And it’s probably only pro because they are adults. If they were actually bowling. I can see them being very good.
