Here's another match from the 1989-1990 season of Candlepin bowling. This match in my opinion was one of the best matches during Jim Putney's monster run towards his eventual $10,000 championship show win.
This match is also the first match that I have uploaded that features something that you haven't seen yet in terms of the outcome of a match in Candlepin Bowling!

Why does Ferguson always take a ball with him to sit down after his 2 boxes?? He never throws this ball. Puts it down on the ball rack and then takes it with him. Odd.

actually jim putney played bernie duhamel in 1982 successfully
actually in 1979 hugh ferguson defeated Rosario lechiara then the next week he lost mike morgan
actually in 1986 jim Putney defeated bob Ireland and mike morgan then lost to ray mcguirck 430-386 it was in 1987 when jim Putney lost to dick O'Connell 440-423
Would you happen to have any video of Bernie Duhamel? (He's my grandfather, will be 79 this month, and has Alzheimer's. It would be nice to see him in his "glory days".)

@@morgan8757 thank you so much! I found it! My grandfather actually passed away in 2017, probably not long after I posted. So happy I'll get to watch another bowling match of his!

Then ultimately lost to Tom Olszta, but somehow beat him in the championship show.
That special ABC program mentioned at 14:28 for the week after this was coverage of newly-freed Nelson Mandela's trip to Boston.
I could care less about nelson mandela
