I live in South Dakota. Kristi Noem used to be a Representative of the house of representatives and then of course she was elected governor. If you have a R in front of your name here thats all you need to get elected. Kristi Noem had four warrants for her arrest at one point. In the house she had the record for noshows in hearings. Why? Because she was being an outright lobbyist for private companies. She would skip committee hearings to do paid appearances at fundraisers and donator party's. She quit literally wrote statements about Republican backed bills that were written by the companies that would profit from it. This was proven. Still people here made her governor. She was applauded for her "hands off" approach to the Corona virus pandemic. She allowed the Sturgis super spreader event. She sued the Sioux nation for trying to put up checkpoints into the reservation to slow the spread of the virus that was fuckin murdering natives here. She catered to Trump for his Mt. Rushmore super spreader event, saying "no masks or social distancing will be applied". Thanks you rotten fuckin bitch. She use's her governors plane for private use. And all the Republicans love her because they are rotten brain dead motherfuckers here too. Hell want to know what south Dakota governors are like? Google "South Dakota governor Wild Bill Janklow" and have a good read.

I’d say an adult wouldn’t use personal interest and pressure to push a civil worker into an early retirement through a settlement. I’d say an adult would try to deny the voters their passed ballot measures. But I get by the whole taxes and cost of living thing, and (at this point) everyone can wear a mask if they want to etc. Liking the financial impact of state government shouldn’t counter genuine criticism and concerns about corruption and zero transparency.

@@vhufeosqap there was once articles about her daughter Cassidy being denied her appraisal job for political reasons involving Kristy. Hence why Kristy had to get involved. Can't find them anymore of course seems the way things go with articles that don't fit the narrative. Anyway, I'm glad she works harder to change laws that loosen up requirements when she is personally effected. You have to realize this goes farther than just her daughter. It took me over a month to get my SD house appraisal so I could get my loan approved. There has been an issue with lack of appraiser's due to strict requirements in SD for some time now. So the change was needed. With that said, I am not a fan of Kristy waiting till her daughter was involved to get things done. It took far too long and should have been done sooner. Look at my previous comment, that was 11mo ago. The articles about her daughters appraisal job were in November. That's several months after my comment. I'm also glad she is criticized on issues such as that. She rightfully should be. I agree though corruption is bad and thus we need to vote out the incumbents. I also agree we need way more transparency. Being from MN it's a huge difference in not only all the freedoms in SD but there is much more transparency. However, we still need more transparency in SD. MN had some small benefits but those benefits are cancelled out by the freedoms removed when having them. For example, building code is rather loose in SD at least where I'm at. So my house had things that were shady at best. But because SD is loose on those things I'm able to fix them how I see fit with out going though the insane permit application process I had to in MN. End result, I feel like SD is run a million times better than MN and proud to be in a state who puts faith in there people rather than the government. We all should rely less on government and more on ourselves. They have a purpose but it should be very limited.
