many years ago I remember an article in a photography magazine called "the quiet eye of louis stettner" and i remember there were some photos he had taken in normandy in france during the 60's. I thought the title of the article summed up the photos in the article perfectly. he truly was a wonderful photographer.

This vid is something of an eye-opener for me. I am aware of the Photo League and many of the photographers associated with it but somehow missed out on Stettner. An excellent series of vids overall
