The feud the producers staged and egged on with MC and NM hampered the season. That dynamic just made ppl uncomfortable. Queen Latifa or someone like that would have been more respectful and fun here.

She won a record deal with Interscope, recorded an album that didn't sell, and then got cut all within the span of less than a year. Today, she couldn't get another record deal if her life depended on it

Record labels aren't going to invest and lose money on an individual only cause their voice sounds good. As they are in business to make money and if there is no money to be had, then they are going to forgo that investment and instead invest it in another individual who will make them money. Sounds evil. However, it's just common sense. As you and everybody else would do the same thing under the same circumstances. Just be happy that she got a bigger shot than most people ever do and unfortunately for her, it was not what the majority of the market place out there cared to listen to.

Season 12 was rigged. It was rigged by the producers so only a female could win. Which is why all the male contestants got voted off the show before even the first female was ever voted off the show. So the winner of season 12 is not even a legitimate winner. She is a winner of a rigged show.

@@allstardjb Never before and never afterward did it happen where all the male contestants were voted off the show before the first female contestant was voted off. Moreover, a large group of fans had organized together and was threatening to file a female discrimination lawsuit against American Idol because they had screwed over several female contestants like Haley Reinhart and Crystal Bowersox that should have easily won the show. The problem was American Idol was allowing power voting and because American Idol was allowing power voting, a large power voting block of young adolescent white females had organized together and they were the ones who were deciding the winners of the show year after year by power voting always and only for young cute white guys regardless of talent level. Hence, several extremely talented females got screwed out of being the winner of the show and it did not go unnoticed. Hence, to get that group that had organized to threaten American Idol with a discrimination lawsuit off their back, the American Idol producers rigged the 2012 season so only a female contestant could win. However, American Idol only rigged the 2012 show and subsequently those power voting young white adolescent females went back to power voting again to pick the winners. It's common knowledge that the 2012 season was rigged so only a female contestant could win the show because it was so obvious. I guess you must be one of the few oblivious fans who weren't intelligent enough to notice. Oh well.

I remember the first time I saw/heard this performance. I was still healing from a break up with my childhood love. The girl he chose came from a better life and a financially well off family. The way she sang this song, spoke to how badly I wanted him to know, that even though I didn't have all those things, I loved him with everything I had. Her performance literally bought me to tears. Season 12 was rigged. It was rigged by the producers so only a female could win. Which is why all the male contestants got voted off the show before even the first female was ever voted off the show. So the winner of season 12 is not even a legitimate winner. She is a winner of a rigged show.

@@allstardjb Never before and never afterward did it happen where all the male contestants were voted off the show before the first female contestant was voted off. Moreover, a large group of fans had organized together and was threatening to file a female discrimination lawsuit against American Idol because they had screwed over several female contestants like Haley Reinhart and Crystal Bowersox that should have easily won the show. The problem was American Idol was allowing power voting and because American Idol was allowing power voting, a large power voting block of young adolescent white females had organized together and they were the ones who were deciding the winners of the show year after year by power voting always and only for young cute white guys regardless of talent level. Hence, several extremely talented females got screwed out of being the winner of the show and it did not go unnoticed. Hence, to get that group that had organized to threaten American Idol with a discrimination lawsuit off their back, the American Idol producers rigged the 2012 season so only a female contestant could win. However, American Idol only rigged the 2012 show and subsequently those power voting young white adolescent females went back to power voting again to pick the winners. It's common knowledge that the 2012 season was rigged so only a female contestant could win the show because it was so obvious. I guess you must be one of the few oblivious fans who weren't intelligent enough to notice. Oh well.

I remember the first time I saw/heard this performance. I was still healing from a break up with my childhood love. The girl he chose came from a better life and a financially well off family. The way she sang this song, spoke to how badly I wanted him to know, that even though I didn't have all those things, I loved him with everything I had. Her performance literally bought me to tears. Godamn this is what it means to sing your heart out. I love how she made this song her own. I stopped watching American Idol after the first couple of seasons. This kept coming up in my recommended after playing the Tom Jones version and I just now clicked out of curiosity and am blown away.
