Last year at 75 Candice did a Sunday Morning interview with Jane Pauley. She said this about her life and it brought me to tears..."I couldn't have asked for anything more." How many of us can say that? ❤🎉

I love Candice Bergen. She's gorgeous - regardless of a few extra pounds (at last! She can relax and eat!), I loved her book, and I love her frankness. I also really liked the fictional character of Murphy Brown. But mostly I'm happy that she's found love not once but twice, and is enjoying herself so much. She deserves it. We all do.

48:40 That reminds me of an interview I read once where Laura Linney was asked about aging and she said she had very little patience for people who complained about it because she felt offended on behalf of all her friends who did not get that chance. She said she wanted to "slap some sense into them" :) That interview completely shifted my view on the subject.

My first TV sitcom gig was giving Murphy Brown a pregnancy sonogram. Great writing, of course...Donzig and Peterman, i.e., hilarious. Candice was amazing to work with, generous, so caring of my nervousness about it all---my tiny TV career went downhill from there, never matching that first gig! But seeing Candice again always warms my heart. And, she turned me onto California Pizza Kitchen!

I think that she looks great for her age. Many want time to freeze, which is silly. I also think that there is a confidence with aging also with some women that instead of too many face lifts, that they get to a point where it is not as important anymore. Not to say that she hasn’t had work, but she isn’t 80 trying to look 60

  • @ladybug5859

Love listening to Candice's stories. As fir aging and beauty, she looks at as an all American gal,. Isabella Rossellini's approasch to gaining weight with age is:"Not too bad," and she smiles beatifically. I do wish American women could be more like European women in that regard. But a very young European woman once said to me:"Your country is too young to create great women." She meant it in the kindest way and I agree with her.

What is it with these interviewers?! Endless questions about her weight, her looks, her surgeries, her romances, her child... But, as the audience questions reveal, what people want to hear about is her work! She's known for her work as an actress and photographer, not all the other stuff. And being once beautiful and now older and a bit heavier is neither remarkable nor worth talking about for more than two minutes.

Excellent video! Subscribed. Well, this gives me even less hope that Megan and Harry will ever be taken to task for their actions. If this wasn’t enough for Edward and Wallace, then what Harry and Meghan conduct is considerably quite a bit less. I think the only problems will be if they really try to insert themselves- Harry in particular, to affairs of governments around the world. He’s been starting to do that like he did in Canada. They must be kept very separate and let the Royals do their work on the world stage -no confusion. Yes, many times truth does come out in the most astounding ways . But the winners in the past wrote the history books or passed down the oral history, and they often tried to obliterate any hint of a former king or Pharaoh. Or give them such a terrible reputation with terrible stories.. that it is hard to sift through to find the truth. Or the opposite- everyone had a reason to be extremely flattering. Takes centuries to discover truths, some things are just lost for good. In this age, I don’t think that is possible.

When "People" Mag claims Sandra Bullock is the most beautiful woman in the world all you have to do is look at photos of Candice Bergen in the seventies & sixties (or Julie Christie, or Deneuve) to see how low the bar dropped regarding beauty today. I did read where Bergen joined the Scientology cult, though, like Seinfeld. Considering how obese it made Kirsty Alley, Candice got off easy.

Very enjoyable watch on a saturday morning. Shame it started out with the weight issues luckily it was pulled back. And the comment (above) about comparing Sandra Bullocks beauty with 60's and 70's stars objectifying women is still objectifying women no matter from what time period, these comparisons do not help. Candice Bergen I cannot explain why when I first saw her (noticed) in Boston Legal I was instantly drawn to her persona and presence as an actress, maybe I just have a fetish for strong female role model types.
