Using her own example of feeding one's family first, for sure, though a family of 4 = to a family of 7 should not give out the same amount of food. Candace's point on the "natural market" was spot on. That basic supply vs demand drive is a cornerstone of human interactions, it's impossible to divorce this from the human condition whether you're bartering chickens for flour or paying cash for a new jacket. Where this comes into play with individualism is the belief that most individuals can develop some level of skill which is valuable enough to the marketplace for that individual to become successful. When enough individuals do this, they create more successful societies.

So I think Candace is noticing that people whose basic needs and more are being met are then able to fulfil their desire to give to others - as this is a more complex need and sits further up the hierarchy.

Shows how out of touch we as people have become if we don't see the possibility for good in each and every individual. How far we have fallen that we dare think that judgement is a representation of reality. Life is a book with many chapters; the main character may be the antagonist is one chapter but by the end of the book be the redeemed hero of our story. I have come to realize that politics have become so self-centered that no change is going to take place, it's as if they never cared in the first place. For all we know that may be the reality that politicians fight to misdirect so they live lives the rest cannot. When she uses animality as an excuse for why the rich should stay rich I remember that this viewpoint is something only a human could come up with. For all of our history we have suffered our selfishness. War, poverty, ignorance, etc. all born from our selfishness. It's time to evolve into what we have the potential to become.

I thought Candace won that debate hands down. She was absolutely correct. I grew up poor by the way, raised by a single mom. I have lived long enough to know how the world works. I put myself through college at age 34 sacrificed a lot by doing it too. I paid for my own education too. If people have worked hard to be successful, they have earned it by hard work. It's not fair to those that have worked their asses off for it just to be taxed more to help everyone. If you want to be successful financially, you can do it all by yourself. I did. I also help a lot of people as well. Taxing the rich more will not make a difference. They provide jobs, and without jobs everyone will be poor. Candace explained it well. Socialism has been tried in history, go study what a failure it has always been. Some of us that are older than the both of you, know it. Every young person has no idea how that feels trying to survive it, and that is where we are headed off of a cliff if you elect a socialist or Biden. Just being honest. Talk to someone who has been through it, before you push for it.

We must have watched different debates as Russell won hands down. She had nothing to say except expousing the same old greed and bs, that's what the matrix you're born into (but you don't even know it) does, it makes you a cog in a machine. Find out how currency creation works in a fiat fractional reserve banking system, the dice are loaded and the rich stay rich and generally the poor stay poor. If you truly believe that this current nightmare is taking you anywhere but to abject poverty you're uninformed. Wait till programmed cbdc is introduced and cash is withdrawn. The fact some of us older than you know is that it's the fundamental system which is flawed and corrupt it doesn't matter which ideology you apply, the WEF are correct we need to build back better just not how they believe.

Here's a thought experiment, a fairly simple one to highlight the absurdity of your understanding about the world: compare a child that is born in Africa to one that is born in Scandinavia. Predict me their future, and once you've done so, explain the reasons one is statistically more likely going to live a successful life compared to the other (i.e. better health, better education, better work opportunities). Once you've done that, explain what the fundamental causes of those differences are.

For comparison, the average American taxpayer in the same year paid 13 percent." Please study before you speak inadequately and act as if you know more when you clearly don't..... The Book of Truth. When things were at their very worst: 2 Suns, Cross in the sky, 2 comets will collide = don`t be afraid - repent, accept Lord`s Hand of Mercy. Scientists will say it was a global illusion. Beware - Jesus will never walk in flesh again. After WW3 - rise of the “ man of peace“ from the East = Antichrist - the most powerful, popular, charismatic and influential leader of all time. Many miracles will be attributed to him. He will imitate Jesus in every conceivable way. Don`t trust „pope“ Francis = the False Prophet - will seem to rise from the dead - will unite all Christian Churches and all Religions as one. One World Religion = the seat of the Antichrist. Benedict XVI is the last true pope - will be accused of a crime of which he is totally innocent. "Arab uprising will spark global unrest - Italy will trigger fall out" "The time for the schism in the Church is almost here and you must get prepared now"

This is the BEAUTIFUL! We need more civil discussion with people on opposite sides, not to cancel them or to outright dismiss them! Bravo Russel!

It's cool that he actually debates conservatives. That alone makes him better than 90% of the worlds leftist.

So according to Owen's, the rich pays 85% of American taxes, and there still billionaires. and the rest of us pay only 15% of Americas taxes and still most of us live under the poverty line. What does that tell you? It tells you that the rich is making so much money that they could pay 85% of America's taxes and still be filthy stinking rich and there paying there employees so low that there struggle with paying 15% of the taxes. That horrible! That doesn't sound fair. Isn't it fair that the people could get together and vote on how much it cost to conduct business in America? Do you think the corporation should decide how much it cost to conduct business in America, or is it up to the people?. If you don't like it , you are free to do business somewhere else. And I say they owe more in taxes or make them pay there employees what there worth , either way stop being a puppet for the rich. Stop feeling sorry for them, there fine. The republican only hates socialism for the poor, they love it for the rich. Remember when the poor got together to fight the rich by saving game stop and ruining there stocks? All Republicans wanted to bail out the rich. Remember Trump trade war with China, he had to bail out failing farming companies with billions of dollars because of it. The rich still owe us from the last bail due to the economy collapsing under a republican president, Bush. Im not saying the democrats are all good, but you really need to stop voting republican.

@@johnrambo6314 America is about equal opportunity not equal outcomes which would be socialism or communism. Maybe you should stop berating those who are doing better than you? Voting only encourages those who wish to rule you. Government is organized crime and taxation is theft more specifically, extortion.

There is a middle ground between Capitalism and Socialism that either side's proponents don't want to draw attention to as both of these extremes are flawed.
