You can get both OLL and PLL parities on mix-up 3x3/4x4, but the thing is that on a 4x4 you ALREADY HAVE THEM normally, and if you want, you can solve them with normal 4x4 methods. On mixup 3x3, you have to get creative.

I just bought my first 2x2 and 3x3 and am struggling to memorize the beginners method algorithms. It absolutely amazes me that you have so many algorithms memorized.

It all comes with time and practise. It took me years and years to learn even 2-Look OLL and PLL, so stick with it and eventually you'll know even more than me!

Generally speaking, yes, unless it is a puzzle I am confident I will be able to solve first try/quickly. As I try to solve trickier and longer puzzles, being able to try it out and find a method before filming a video makes it much less stressful and, hopefully, it makes the videos more fun to watch too!
