Of course these cowards at Blue Cross and Baylor Medicine didn’t respond for scamming this dying woman. They belong in hell
In Germany, they would’ve covered the medication regardless and she would pay less than 20 percent for the copay that she paid when the insurance covered it.

And if she had a kid that was incredibly ill they could (and have) refused treatment and refused transport to another facility. They forced the parents to let the kid pass

Yes. My friend - two weeks from Medicare B - could not get a private consult with oncologist without 10k deposit. Their office changed policy Jan. 1 this year NO PRIVATE PAY. Our begging paid off with an exception, 10k deposit plus visit fee, to be told she has 2-3 months to live. I will NEVER forget this experience, now raising funds to cover what I took out of savings to help her. This has fundamentally changed my view of the medical profession and how they devalue life.

Damn shame! Sorry to hear that! It’s like a life doesn’t matter to them only the money.
Medical and pharmaceutical con blessed by insurance companies and endorsed by congress.
This makes no sense…and it’s not just this particular med, my grandfather paid over 5k for one injection per month for prostate cancer and died anyway as a result of the cancer itself. What’s the point of insurance? And why would pharmaceutical companies think that this is ok? That a life is pretty much worthless??..??? That’s America for you where ain’t nothing free.

I work in medical billing and bcbs is awful. UHC is starting to be awful too.

For all that have these complications. ... look in other countries how much they charge you there. India china aso where they produce all the medication... it could be much cheaper
