My dog (RIP 🧡🙏) had cancer of the spleen and breast cancer. I paid for her surgery but the veterinarian could only remove the spleen before she had signs of stress so they had to stop the surgery at that point and not remove the breast tumor as also planned. I was told she probably wouldn't make it through the operation or if she did, she wouldn't live more than 3 months. She lived almost 3 more years, thank God, with vitamin C given daily and no other treatments and passed away at 14 years old.

@@TheVicJub Thank you for your reply. I am very sorry to hear that your dog is fighting cancer. But vitamin C will definitely help. It depends on the size of the dog. For a smaller dog under 40 pounds, I would say start with a 500 mg tablet and see how well that is tolerated. If tolerated well, then give one morning and at night. Do not give just before the dog is let out to urinate since some of the potency will be lost in the urination. Give after urination so more of the vitamin has time to be absorbed in the system. Gradually work up to about 3000 mg per day (about 1500mg in the morning and 1500 in the evening if the dog is larger than 40 pounds) if we’ll tolerated. When I speak of toleration, I am referring to bowel tolerance and stomach comfort. Initially vitamin C may cause loose stools for a few days while the dogs system adjusts. But this dosage (between 1000mg and 3000mg) should work. Of course in the case of a tiny dog like a Yorkie or chihuahua, maybe only 250-500mg daily. Vitamin C is non-toxic and excess will be excreted so it should not harm the dog but if it causes extended diarrhea or other side effects, then reduce the dosage. Vitamin C can help to shrink tumors and boost the immune system so it is very beneficial for humans and animals. If your dog is taking chemotherapy drugs, consult with the vet since you do not want vitamin C to interfere with the chemo effects. For instance, vitamin C and antibiotics should not be taken at the same time since they will weaken the potency of each. Best wishes and blessings to you and your dog at this time. I am praying for a full recovery for your dog. ❤️🙏

Great, thank you so much❤️ I’m a huge believer of vitamin C since I read a book by Thomas E. Levy. It gives me so much hope to see other dogs have gone through a situation that was slightly worse (mammary tumors on top) and still lived on for another few years….Thank you for taking the time to answer, you’re an angel 😌

Where I live, rural midwest USA. Roundup Ready Corn spills thousands of gallons of glysophates on the ground. The mill in town processes the corn...the dust travels. It could easily be in the water as well as the air. A little research showed that ceramic filters, such as the berky type system will remove it.

I have a 6 stage system from a company called APEC. I have the opportunity to analyze the water with the proper tools at work. I am amazed with the results I get from that system. Water isn't the only factor in the high amount of cancers but I wouldn't doubt it contributes to it.

@@josephinestewart7633 So sorry to hear about your dog. well it is a year later and my boxer died two months ago so I feel your pain. God is good. a month before her passing a miracle happened. I went onto gumtree ad service in South Africa and saw ad for Malinois. I phoned the woman and she had a cross german shepherd malinois male 8 weeks old. She stays quite far from me. She and her daughter brought the puppy to me. I had the experience of seeing my boxer interact and play and teach this highly strung working breed puppy. My heart is still broken over my loss but I must say the puppy got me out of bed in the mornings. Maroela my Labby is now old and she does not want to be bothered with a pup. So another miracle happened. A tenant that is moving onto the property went and also got a malinois male pup. They have not moved in yet so I have two puppies to train and thank God that can play with each other and leave my Labby alone. I am moving to the Eastern Cape soon. I bought rural ground in a small village. God's timing is perfect. He knows what we need and He will always provide. That in itself makes my mourning phase lighter. Mexico my boxer will always have a very special place in my heart she was my protector and companion. I hope that this will make your heart Josephine lighter. when I was growing up the standard vet advice was that you had to wait for a year and for the dog to go through at least one heat before you spayed her. This gave the dog the opportunity to fully develop and grow up healthy. People are neutering pets at 3 months old now and I think that is insane. I am not against spay/neuter at all, but you have to give the animal a chance to grow and develop. Not spaying your dog or cat can lead to Pyometra, a severe infection of the uterus which is fatal if left untreated. it also leads to cancer in the mammary glands.

Disgusting. In some countries, if not all of them over in Europe they don't neuter unless its highly necessary. Unfortunately last i read was that due to some of their Vet's coming here to America to become a pet Dr. they go back with that "Neuter/Spay them now!" mentality but hopefully those countries can stay strong and just leave the pets be as they always have been. I keep hearing they don't have the stray cats and dogs problems like over here either.

I can't believe the ignorant "mindset" I see in these posts. Here... Australia...dogs and cats are neutered at about 12 weeks..has been so for a very long time..my last 2 dogs and my cat were all neutered at that age. Dogs lived 16 years...no health problems. My cat lived 18 long healthy years My current dog I got at nearly 4 yo. She was a show dog and had 1 litter before I got her. She had problems when delivering pups and had to have hysterectomy at time. I do not know of any problems with any animals I know. In fact..strongly encouraged as various fees for non neutered pets are more expensive. In fact..neutered pets live longer healthier lives. And..no strays in streets parks etc. A stray would be picked up very quickly.. returned to owner via microchip or council tag..or taken to RSPCA. And I'm pretty sure the animals I see here..in other countries ..would be in much better health and living condition/s if they were treated the same. I'm pretty sure giving birth ..to endless litters...on the street is a miserable situation for all... In fact..neutered pets are actually less likely to have health problems... 🐕🐈‍⬛👍🤗

This past summer, I noticed a sudden drop of insect activity in my yard. My mom also noticed there were almost no frog sounds in the evening when there was usually plenty. Soon after, my dog grows a tumor that was diagnosed as a malignant cancer. I think someone in my neighborhood went overboard with pesticides :/ The layout of the houses makes it difficult to tell who it might have been as it is a suburb, but considering we don't hear frogs ANYWHERE when walking around even on different streets it would imply it was probably more than one neighbor doing excess spraying ((unless the city did it? There are trees on every street that are managed and maintained by the city)). If this is what caused my dog's cancer then that is EXTREMELY upsetting. He's a little under 12 years old and never had ANY health issues before that. The vet even commented about how physically fit and healthy he is for his age. The cancer diagnosis felt way out of left field! I didn't think about the connection between pet cancer and pesticides until I saw this video and was reminded about the sudden loss of insects and frogs not long before the cancer happened. I was wanting to get another dog but I feel so unsafe about it now if the environment of my neighborhood is THAT toxic 😟I may have to wait until I can move away from here...

They spray that crap in the air...driving slowly up an down each street a couple of times. We're on the corner so we get it 4x (from both directions). They say it's safe. Yeah right. If I am correct, back in the 90s and earlier dogs were not getting sick so easily/often as humans before. They were always kind of resilient or maybe the dog food was not so bad as it is now. And now they are getting sick sooo easily it seems, imo. This is why so many owners have gone to cooking their dogs food and trying to keep everything fresh. I am too.

He said they ought to be more regulated give the correct quantity and you can even go years.... horse vet told me many years ago rabies shots good for 3 years but the law makes them give it every year .. they finally changed that with that so-called 3 year vaccine is exact same thing as original vaccine just charging more.

My dog spends a lot of time outside, not just around the house but out in the woods hiking weekly. I'm fairly certain he would've picked up some tick-bourne disease by now had I not started Bravecto many years ago. Not only that, but before he started Bravecto, he'd get fleas every time he went to the dog park, sometimes he'd get fleas just meeting a dog in the neighborhood. That led to scratching and biting, which led to wounds. It's all a trade off. Yes, we did try some natural flea and tick remedies, but those did not hold a candle to the systemic drugs.

@@MF-rw3rb Yes, it is a trade off. I just lost my 12 yr. old Golden to cancer and I always wonder why. She was never on Kibble and I only used the topical treatments for flea/ticks and not in the winter ( Wisconsin). I don’t really think its the vaccines in her case. She was a large golden. Who knows? She did live an extra year and a half on chemo and had almost zero side effects. We need a cure.

Stop feeding your pets kibble! It doesn’t cost much more to feed them homemade diet and you’ll actually save money because you won’t have $$$$$ vet bills. My dogs will NEVER ever touch anything prepackaged “for dogs” ever again. I’m preventing the return of my dogs mast cell cancer on my own with ZERO help from the vet because he gave no advice after I had 5 large tumors cut off and he said he’d see us in 3-6 months (his estimate or tumor growth return). He gave no reasons, theories, rationale and no preventative for return of the tumors. I did my own extensive research on scientific studies and trustworthy data. It’s been 2 years and my dog is now 10 years old. She looks better than ever. She is a complete picture of health. Abundant energy, shiny coat and gleaming eyes. NO Signs whatsoever of anything growing in or on her. I feel that a lot of vets just want the cash flow so preventing and curing isn’t on the menu with them. It is obvious the pet food industry is evil and none of them care about you or your pets health. It is very sickening. If you love your babies make their meals for them, it’s not hard! If anyone is interested in what I give my dogs I will gladly give info. All homemade and easy. Basic stuff you buy at your own market. And , No, I am not trying to sell you anything. Just a pet lover and don’t wish any to suffer!

Same here! I have agonized over whether to do heartworm meds, but definitely stopped with the Frontline flea/tick after skin growths, whining dogs after application, and one application that actually burned a hole thru the skin and left a scab! The first dog we had that we gave all these pet meds was a sheltie that died of stomach cancer at age 7, halfway thru his little life. And our collie’s life was cut short due to cancer, and he was treated with pet meds most of his life. It makes me so sad that animals suffer and often die, and while I can’t prove it was the meds, the only dog we had that didn’t take them lived a long, healthy and full life.

But they say stuff like we need you to set up a wellness program for their health it costs a fortune and your dog or cat is stressed out and all you need to do is watch all the kill you stuff we buy all the time and read where your food is coming from and what those ingredients are I looked up alot of stuff food flea and tick lysol etc,,, all of it has carcinogens and they market it to your dog. Or cat. If they do it to us you bet they do it to your animal. Most vets are corporations now. Sorry but it's TRUE love your pet listen to dr Jones. He's only 16 lbs and they loaded him up on innoculations and rabies the same day he was neutered. I prayed he would survive it. His surgical site became infected and my vet at the time (I've since changed to an holistic vet) told me the neutering surgery was not done correctly. It's been a little over a year since and he's doing fine.

I lost one of my female border collies to lymphoma cancer a few years ago. Actually she didn't die from the cancer. The vet I took her too gave her a Non steroidal drug before he knew for certain (but Suspected) it was cancer. One thing I do know is that, non steroidal meds should NEVER be administered to animal or human if cancer is suspected. Needless to say, that one medication caused extreme internal bleeding ulcers, which was so bad she was given a blood transfusion. Even though the vet did take responsibility for his actions, and admitted that it was his mistake, I lost my baby girl the very same night she was given her first chemo treatment. She ultimately passed away from internal bleeding and not the cancer. I do forgive this vet now, but inexperience with certain diseases should be directed to a vet whom has the experience. A hard lesson I won't ever forget. I am glad he had the guts to admit it was his mistake, because that would take a lot of courage!

My 9 year old Morkie was put on Apoquel for his allergies. When I reasearched the side effects they listed nausea and vomiting. Since he wasn't doing that and his allergies caused sores all over his tummy, I kept him on the Apoquel. 6 months later he just collapsed one morning. I took him to the Vet and she ran tests only to find out he had lung cancer and heart cancer and fluid on his heart. I was in shock. Then as I read deeper into Apoquel it says it surpresses the immune system and cancers can grow because of it. I took him home and loved on him for 4 days until his breathing was so labored I had to have him put to sleep so he wouldn't suffer any more. His system failure was so sudden I'm in shock. I had no idea he was so sick. I am heartbroken. I just wanted to warm other pet owners to dig deep into the side effects of medicines for your pets. 😥.

Well you don't have to cook every night like that. You get the meats, poultry, etc and cook a big batch. Section off in baggies or containers and leave some in the fridge for however many times you will feed them(ex. if you feed twice a day then put 2 baggies or container of food to feed them that day. You do that everyday) and the rest of the batch you cooked will go into the freezer. Then when you have finished off the food for that day at night, before bed, you will pull out the next bags/containers of food to feed the dog. You portion off an amount that is fit for your size dog. KZread will give you the best ways to do it. That is what I have been following.

My dog’s have on a home diet for years. A retired veterinarian of 30 years in Cuba convinced me. He asked me if I thought the preservatives in commercial food was healthy for consumption. It’s common sense that crap isn’t healthy but so many Americans are conditioned to believe otherwise. I was a maniac about my rescues ONLY having dry food purchased at VET office. I really thought I was doing the right thing. Changing to them to home diet cured their CHRONIC skin issues, constipation, lethargy and so much more. You mentioned cleaning with white vinegar. Hounds are slobs by nature (just IMO), they smell bad if you don’t stay on top of keeping their ears clean. Their coats get extremely greasy between regular bathing. I HAVE to spend at least an hour doing maintenance clean up daily with 200 lbs of slobbering hounds. The older of the two does have accidents in his old age. Can’t blame him, he can’t hold it more than couple hours max. I mop up the urine with diluted bleach and know there must be better options for them. I don’t know that vinegar would sanitize following urine? Is there a product that is strong enough to sanitize, neutralize odor and clean up after nasty ole hound dogs 🐕👃🏽🤢? I adore the bastards and feel terrible using bleach even though I repeatedly wash the floor with water after. Any and all suggestions greatly appreciated.

I have had dozens of dogs live to be VERY old and never had cancer in any of them. I did spay/Neuter them at around 6 months to prevent mammary, testicular and uterine cancers, and did feed them all sorts of vegetables and fruit every day, plus olive oil and sardines 2 x per week. Lots of sweet potatoes and broccoli especially. I got them all their puppy shots, then their 1 year boosters. But then only every 3 years until 10 years old. No more vaccines after age ten. Any dog small enough to use wee pads would stay inside during hot summer nights so I didn't use heartworm or flea meds on them. Only on the large dogs, and only during warm weather. Why vets push heartworm meds in places like Wisconsin 12 months a year is nuts! There are no mosquitoes when it's-20 below zero! I use human baby shampoo most of the time to bathe them. (I did screen in my porch so they can go out there when it's warm. Better/cheaper than pumping them constantly full of chemicals.)

Thanks for sharing all this info. Last month I applied Sentry flea treatment to my cat Gaia because she's prone to fleas. She's an albino kitty, meaning her skin is extremely sensitive. I did it because she was scratching herself a lot and thought she had some visitors. Well, I almost lost my feline daughter. That chemical burned her skin. She was going crazy, hyperventilating, shallow breathing, dilated pupils. It was a very scary situation. I called a veterinary emergency center and they told me to bathe her RUSH. I didn't know she was having a reaction to the treatment. I bathed her with a coconut, shea butter body wash and she was so relieved.

Excellent information Doc! Most appropriate the information. I’ve been using HPT with my son, who had a cancerous tumor in his brain. It’s been 4 years now with zero cancer results. My dog, who also has cancer but is now under control and disappearing by each week. HPT means Hydrogen peroxide treatment (35% food grade), which is diluted with fresh mountain water.

I have some of that. Is the dilution 50/50 for your dog or less and how much do you give it?

@@Truther567, each dog is going to be different due to weight and size. With humans it’s a totally different dose. So , try one droplet per 16oz of spring water the first day and increase the dosage by one droplet each day for 25 days.(25 droplets at the 25th day). And do this for 7 days, then back off the dosage in reverse. This will complete the first cycle. For humans it’s three times this, so this dose cycle is light enough for a dog’s digestive system. Side effects; would be throwing up. Throwing up is an indicator that the dose is too much for the dogs digestive system to handle. The solution is to back off the dosage but continue the cycle.

It’s the same reasons our precious children are getting Cancer. We’re in a very toxic world. We spray our yards to kill weeds, yet, our precious pets are running through the yard and then into our homes. We’re Injecting a Great Dane with the same amount of vaccine dosage, as a toy poodle 😳 We’ve become so ignorant that’s it’s almost comical. I just took my precious Bichon for a ruptured cyst. They asked me if I wanted to get him “updated” on his vaccines! Wow, while his body is completely inflamed and swollen, already fighting to heal, they want to inject him with poison. The system is truly broken.

My grandma had several dogs that she never vaccinated or gave flee and tick meds to and her first dog lived to be 25, and her second 20 and I should note she fed them crap dog food - I'm guessing there is something to these vaccines and topical personally ------ my wife and I on the other hand we had to watch our fella pass this week and he only made it to 11 and I'm grateful for every moment we had he is a real blessing

@@ilovedogs938 Thank you so much for your kindness. My little love was 15 1/2 years old. She was one of the best things that ever happened to me. I go to a holistic vet now and she told me it could have been the conventional vaccines that caused the bladder cancer, who really knows. I can tell you that after she passed she gave me a very precious sign that she is still around My family also surprised me with another Westie recently, and it has helped me with the grieving. They are very special dogs. Enjoy every moment with your Westie, as they are very precious. Take care!

I love them so much, they have great personalities and are very affectionate 😿. I have been feeding mine fresh veg and organic meat for sometime plus I give her omega-3 oils(from seaweed rather than fish), ubiquinol, Resveratrol, beta glucans, and astaxanthin. I also give her organ meats such as kidneys, liver and heart. And for amino acids I give her Ox cheeks. I used flaxseed oil in the eve meal too. For veg I give okra, kale, pumpkin, carrots, broccoli and purple sweet potato (for the anthocyanins) and occasionally almond butter. I also didn't get her spayed until she was 7 years old. I give her yumove and try to walk at least 5-10k steps with her a day. The water I give is filtered and I clean her teeth occasionally with her own electric toothbrush head. She snacks on carrots and runner beans from our garden lol. She had dry eyes and the vet prescribed optimmune but I didn't want to give it to her anymore due to the ointment lowering the immune response and therefore allowing the chance of cancer. So I used Theoloz duo drops instead which is preservative free for humans. When she was young I stopped the flea treatments that this vet mentioned because I could notice she was becoming sad. Instead we wash her once a week and keep an eye always on her fur. I also only vaccinated her when she was young and didn't give her the boosters as they're not needed and I do agree they can cause problems. She is now turning 11 in November but even after all of my efforts to keep her healthy and happy I still have anxiety that she might get cancer or some other ailment or run over by a bus even though I watch her like a hawk lol. Like you I love my westie so much as I am an only child with no kids and I absolutely adore dogs and animals. So I can understand your heartache. I have anxiety about suddenly losing her or if she is diagnosed with something so I cannot imagine what you went through.
