I really want grandparents from my canarios birbos but it's not breading season yet

Had 4 chics between friday and sunday, the fourth is now 6 days old and much smaller by comparison, but already at the stage yours was in on the 8th day. The ones that are two days older are much more ahead. Its weird how differently they grow.

@@pumpkin8222 One died of shock from getting an antibiotic at the vet last year but other than that, they're all thriving. :) I am holding the next generation on my arm I write this. They all turned two and one is currently overweight, but they all have partners and are doing well. Thank you for asking!!!

@Khamzat MMA I wasn't holding the chick because I wanted to. I had to. The mother and father had liver issues and could barely take care of the young so I was partially handrearing the chicks from the age of 1 week. And honestly, that's a load of work. I was in constant contact with a bird vet throughout the entire experience. As for Handtame, I have one that is handtame that I had to handrear past 2 weeks. It is tame but doesn't come to me when I call it. It just randomly flies over and chills on my head or shoulder for a while. If you want a handtame finch, I can suggest watching Leporello the Goldfinch here on youtube. And please don't make your relationship with the birds reliant on how tame they are. :( I personally already feel special when they sit on a chair with me but other than that they are a load of fun to watch.

Why does the mum look so big or is the cotton thingy tiny?

My canary is currently practicing to give birth to a egg, we took our canary to the vet because she would always sleep and be the tired and the vet did and X-ray on the bird and it turned out it had a egg and vet said to get a nest for it and we did and she always sits on it my mom said that it could give birth to the egg in a few days or weeks

I will try to start breeding but i have question. When the femele has layed her eggs, will she still get her own food or does the male need to be around?

My hatchling seems to sleep all day never see it active is this normal quite worried

there are no dad in this video, my breeding techniques are like breeding chickens, which separate the male(dad) when the females lay their last eggs (3rd or 4th egg).

Did the other one not survive because there were 2 eggs..?

My canary’s egg hatched today at 5pm and both the parents haven’t fed him. Should I feed him? Or should I wait until the next day? I am hoping he survives tonight- not sure if he needs to be fed immediatelt

Sometimes when the eggs are not fertile, the birds eat them for the calcium

Most birds will lay eggs on a cycle regardless of fertility or not. The eggs you can get at the store are all infertile.

This poor birdies live in the cage for the rest of their life. They need to go back in the real nature.

@@ACBeats09 True, and also if you feed them good and probably tame them it's better than letting them go live in nature, one of my friends wasn't watching his bird and the bird died in his cage because of an eagle attack
