Canadian Time Attack Challenge Recap

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Canadian time attack challenge CTAC season finale. My first event in the 350Z in 6 years after a lengthly rebuild process. I essentially took my lumps this time.
I entered in the Track Mod Class and got 12th out of 14 in a shortened day.
Final best time for this event of 1:17.183 which even on the 3 year old Nankang CR1 tires wasn't representative but it is what it is. I was already 0.45 faster on the next flying lap at the entrance to turn 3 roughly 1/3rd into the lap when I ran into traffic. 1:16 on older tires and with me being out of shape to drive is encouraging.
The winning time was 1:13.7 which was out of my reach. The competition was actually ridiculously close and competitive and I'd like to enter this class next year with some more refinements for the challenge of it.
I think 1:15's all day are realistic given that the car is faster than in the past. Maybe even a 1:14 depending on how class available tires perform.
So enjoy this quick thrown together synopsis of the day.
I'll publish just my best lap from the day next.

It's always going to be challenging shaking off the rust when it's the both the driver and the car after 6 years, but I think you still made some progress so don't get discouraged. It's crazy how things you don't expect to break just come out of nowhere, I remember trying to finish 2 races while missing my even gears which was no fun at all, but somehow despite the obvious disadvantages I still ended up edging out competitors by a few tents of a second both times that it happened so never give up!

Hey buddy, was nice meeting you at TMP this year, quick thing i noticed, my 325 AR-1s were the same width as a friends 315 CR-S's (we put them side to side), that might be why its rubbing more than usual? Great video man, keep up the good work and excited to see the car around next season!

How fun is it to pass Corvettes so easily?! And is the 350 more fun than your Z06?

It’s more fun because I have less mechanical sympathy for it. If it were to become damaged I’d care less.

How's using the garmin catalyst? Is it on par or better than some of the other telemetry devices like vbox or racebox?
