Thank you, basement usually agar builder se construct karae toh $45k to 50k approx. Third party contractors sasta bana dete hai. Area Aur upgrades par kaafi depend karta hai.

Edmonton has cheaper house and taxes but colder temperature. Vancouver has no snow but more rain, expensive homes and more taxes.

I'm from Edmonton personally I'd say Edmonton just because it's far cheaper and is actually the 4th cheapest city to live in North America

Unless you want to live rest of your life in a coffin sized condo, don’t move to Vancouver. Housing market is crazy , no Single family homes under $1.2M and one would spent all this life paying off the mortgage . Winters are wet and cloudy. The only thing I love about Vancouver/ lower mainland area is mountains and nature. And only reason I am still living here

I agree that it is too expensive but, I don't think you will get high quality appliances in $150,000. I do have to say that the house is built with high quality materials.
