Why do you believe Canadian farmers should sell for a lower price domestically when they can sell the same crop for more money exporting?

From my understanding, what I've heard of ancient climates that were as warm as we are expected to become; the coasts may be wetter, (more moisture in the air), but the interior of the continents bake, and what little rain does manage to make it there pretty much evaporates right away. So you're looking at interior deserts with a very green fringe along the coasts. Doesn't sound like prime agricultural conditions to me.

Food prices are insane but we can still export the extra while people are starving? WTF!

well it's about exporting raw materials and commodities i.e. grains, seeds etc. These then need to be processed into something edible. So it's really exporting food per se.

Who & Where are Canadians starving? Have you never been to Havest Share? Or any local religious group, many who offer free food? Ever been to a hot kitchen in the city? Food is available for all Canadians that do not live in extreme remote communities.

How stupidyl short term thinking. What kind of questions are these? Climate change is not good for agriculture anywhere long term. What is going on, don't you folks think long term with your investments? And "farmers shooting themselves in the foot"? Commodity farmers don't set their price and barely touch the policy that around trade. I am a farmer and your commentary is insulting.

Hotter and drier. Yeah not here in MB this spring. Showers every two days and below normal temps. Fair bit of acres not seeded. Crops are behind normal development. Unless it warms up an early frost could decimate many late crops. Ive been around farms all my life.spme drought years- 1988 with no rain all summer. To flooded years 10inches rain in July been wild swings in last 100 years. Just normal variations that have always happened. Now its all clumate change. Enough with this BS.
