More opportunity in the US, 40% lower real estate prices, 30% higher pay, cheaper Car insurance. I think US wins hands down. Come to Canada on PR, get experience then move to the US.

Brother I have lived in the US and I now live in Canada. I agree with all your points except the healthcare part. In the US you pay a premium but get fast and much better service. Canadian healthcare is crumbling.

That's because every Tom, Dick, and Harry consider Toronto as complete Canada and never even try settling down in other provinces where cost of living is less, less competition for jobs, lesser wait for medical treatment, ease of owning homes, and what not. Dudes will continue to migrate in masses to only Toronto and never will think of doing something different and will follow the path that every one from India do. So yes, every service will crumble until the govt forcefully divert the next huge wave of Indians from hyper crowding Toronto City which is already bursting at the seams

Sorry I beg to differ. The recent news about the woman’s death in Nova Scotia due to ER wait time shows that it’s across all provinces.

@@jd1521 I'm in Edmonton and felt that the medical services are good comparatively. Able to save some extra bucks, spend a loooot lesser on many things, able to retain some money for travel compared to my Toronto/GTA counterparts who just drain all their salary to the mighty expenses. Although they sneeze out all their monthly remuneration, they still don't consider trying a different city. Regarding jobs, yes, many were telling that there are no jobs in Saskatchewan as such but trust me, there a tonne of jobs which pays much more than the GTA dudes. Reality is ppl from our nation (India) are for sure gonna flock in masses to strictly GTA (except some ppl like you and I) and pay insanely high cost for living and gonna have even more wait times for medical services.

I would like to object on one point. (I have been in both USA and Canada).Safety doesn’t depend on salary in USA. Even if you make $100,000, we Indians choose to live in areas with more Indian population and make sure area is safe. $100k is still a decent salary to start with in USA compared to high cost of living and expense in Canada.

Canada has better path to immigration for Legal immigrants unlike USA which discriminates only india (to an extent China) due to old laws - leaving that side every thing else Canada can’t even come close even to 20 % of what USA has to offer - starting from Healthcare , salary , affordability, opportunities, housing - as far as religious diversity Pls visit major cities how many small temples pop up - tourist attraction- entire Canada can’t offer to one NY state attractions. Education- universities here is unbelievable- livability -Canada except for 2 cities Toronto or Vancouver - rest are horrible. Winters are unbearable- so if ur looking for better path to settling and if have your PD > 2016 , then look for opportunities to settle in Canada . But if u feel you can weather the immigration hassle - just don’t bother any part of the world - USA is best , if u come fresh today here legally - tomorrow you can settle by buying a car and getting ssn -no country can come close .

I live in NY for 14 years and here it’s not worse than Upstate close to Toronto buffalo area. Either way usa has lots to offer - Canada can’t even come close to what we have . As the saying goes Entire country is just like a 51st state to us.

Are you in Canada? You won't get paid for 18 months. There are lots of limits and cap. Onething that is your job is safe. 55% upto EI max. Also, certain employers insurance top up. If your employer insurance doesn't cover you are stuck with EI payments. Only folks who have gone through this can explain.

It's really important to do some research on the dark history of how Canada and US came about. Many of the immigrants who come here have no idea about Indigenous communities. They are a big part of the land we live on. This is important when talking about these two stolen countries.

Has this stopped anyone from migrating to the western world? Back home, do Indegenious people, tribal people or people from selected discriminated caste get treated equally? How often do you see them among other citizens enjoying all the rights a country has to offer. In reality no one owns anything in this world, we are all temporary residents and are expected to take care of Earth as long as well live. Learning a country's past is good but every part of this world has a dark and undigestable past.
