Most Middle East countries like UAE separate entrance exam for MDS graduates. So after clearing it you can practice your specialty.

Check individual university and your subject. It is not easy to get in so difficult to select university of your choice.

Sir DSCKE exam pattern will be based on each speciality like ortho or Prostho or will it contain questions from all branches of dentistry...

You should decide if you want to do clinical or non clinical. if clinical give the nbed exams if non clinical decide what would suit you the most..

New Zealand also has a separate exam for MDS graduates, also middle eastern countries like UAE, Qatar. Countries like US, Australia don't have separate criteria for MDS graduates.

All this procedure seems expensive. Do we get a student loan for such courses like one gets during DDS?

No loan by Indian bank. Again for the exam procedure no loan even if you a PR in Canada. You get loans for courses in Canada if you are a PR or citizen there but not for exams.

Since our degree is not recognized you can't directly practice there. You will need to apply to get the license and then later to further studies out there..

if you are going abroad, why do MDS here? Going after MDS is more difficult.

Yes there are various residency programs available abroad. Majority are similar to periodontics course here. You can go for laser or implant specialization as well after periodontology.

Yes you can apply for jobs once you get license. Most first work for a few years only then start their own.. You can apply for all jobs which a DDS dentist there can apply. That is hospital or a private clinic.

Hi sir I m Maxillofacial Surgeon... As u said DSCKE exam is the only option for MDS to practice there as a specialist... So sir approx how many aspirants will be there to write down the exam and what is the chance of clearing it? And second Is PR necessary to write DSCKE exam Or NDEB equivalancy exam?means can we just go as student write down and come back? my point of asking this is if not than can clear IELTS in later part and finish the PR part so can we do like that???

It is quite tough. I don't know the percentage of people applying who qualify. From what I have heard many find the BDS license exams easier than DSCKE.

Once you have a pr you can stay there and work. Many work in call centres, as assistants or drive uber.

My wife is MDS Oral Biology, she wishes to continue her studies as PhD candidate also she wishes to continue her profession of teaching, she is currently Assistant Professor Oral Biology at a local University (Karachi, Pakistan), would she need to sit for the exams considering she would be in a non-clinical side?

Hello sir I have completed my bds course this year and with the internship i have prepared for neet mds exam . I got 6291 rank in that exam . No. it's not. You will be a licensed general dentist with a bds degree not a specialist.

Australia is a good place to settle. Yes you can do that and settle there but they are getting strict with immigration rules every year. Currently it is possible to migrate after you study and get a job there.

But by doing mph you will not be eligible to get pr as it is in sol list.unfortunately u have to cum back.

Yes it is not in sol list but you can apply for a job there and then shift to work visa.. after a few years you can get a PR..

Hi currently the situation is bad when it comes to jobs all over.. if you have seen my previous replies mph is losing it's charm from a few years. But still Australia is among the countries possible to migrate and a lot of people after graduating are getting jobs there..
