Doesn't the iPhone se 2020 have the iPhone 11 pro internals

I edit all my KZread videos in lumafusion on my 11 pro, 4k 60, it’s absolutely seamless and perfect 👌🏻 exports second for second. Mainly cause I can’t afford a new laptop

main thing it's missing right now is proper external monitor support with native monitor resolution. same for the ipad. the external monitor shows black bars around the image if the aspect ratio of the iDevice and the monitor isn't the same, which it almost never is. You hear me Apple?! Also also: If you put your iPhone on the table while plugged in to a monitor, it should work like a Magic Trackpad.

i was doing a bit of light video editing on imovie and eventually i purchased lumafusion a short while back, mainly inspired by these kind of videos on this channel. imovie’s footage files are saved within the project and cannot be accessed, although the project files are accessible as zip files, which gives the ability to delete footage and save just the project file. luma firstly, is one of the few apps i’ve seen cache management in, the rest of the apps you have to delete and re-download to get rid of cached files as offloading the apps only removes the program files and the system potentially could randomly choose to delete the cache when space (marked “other”) is needed, but user files are saved. second, luma duplicates files to its directories as well like imovie because it can’t source them from their original locations, but its folders are accessible in the file management app, meaning you could directly upload the files into the “filesext” folder, then found in imported/shared, or when the file is selected with in the ios files app (it is unplayable within the luma directory) it refers to itself opening luma’s file directory ui. this is very important because devices with limited storage can upload large files directly into the app directory, and also you won’t have to wait for imports, which is virtually a duplication. i’ve encountered a weird glitch when opening a project, when used footage is removed from the directory, which makes the timeline flash rapidly until the missing clip is successfully selected and removed, i’ll have to replicate this and send them the bug report, but it usually informs you when footage files are missing. i was also surprised to find complex audio editing tools after starting to dig around (i’m an audio engineer), though not with the best ui and user-friendly accessibility, there’s 8-band eq, cut filters, some sort of compressor and limiter, which can deal with most simple audio processing tasks. unfortunately there’s only one instance of each sound processing effect allowed, the eq is very difficult to modify precisely with the tiny sliders (i’m using a tablet but i imagine what it would be on a phone screen), but with some work it is complex enough to be able to leave all the necessary audio processing in-the-box. it’s unrealistic to expect visual effects and graphic image manipulation internally as in after effects or 3d animation software, but luma provides a respectable range of tools for video processing and the amount of control it allows for standard video editing, plus the abilities of the hardware make it one of the most valuable assets of the modern creator. it would be great if anyone could suggest a similar application with similar capabilities for a similar price. along with reaper for audio editing, or the long lineup of free DAWs out there (including “pro tools first”), as audio editing requires much lesser hardware than video and we’re still waiting for ARM macs to consider comparing price-to-utility between desktops and mobile devices (ex. $300 A12 ipad), thouh there are a few small quality-of-life improvements to be wanted, these are probably the best valued creative apps that can then actually be used to offer clients professional work. and the best part is that it could even fit in your pocket.

I used to edit my vlogs on an iPhone 8 Plus earlier this year. Holds up really well when editing, kinda surprised. But I also edited on a 2018 iPad Pro which was significantly better.

Hi Gary, I am a great fan, I think that if you stack 2 or more video on top of each other, if they have 100% transparency they will perform as one video, because as soon as the cursor get to the place it will reproduce only the one on the top with several audios, to test it properly you have set 50 % transparency on the clips on top and watch how they perform as you see the images combined.

This is actually pretty cool. If you get the iPhone 12 Pro Max, then it would totally work for editing in a pinch. The larger display might actually be useful for something 'Pro.'

For me this is more of a tutorial than it is a review 😂 the limited screen size is very handy, you really have to cut the crap and deal with limited tools

Interesting video. I'm thinking also to edit a 360 degree sequence shot on insta360 this week, but fyi, I shot an entire sequence using the cheapest Galaxy S21 5G in 1080p using the built in 3 Directors lenses ... and it came out sharp! But editing not so hot as the screen is small, and so I used a MBP A1398 with iMovie to edit that, and upload to KZread . Great info!

That A14 chip is something magical. iPhone 12 max pro is super fast and has a long battery. Same goes for their new M1 chip in their MacBooks. They’re just insane for only being 10 watt chips beating out so many others with 25-45 watt chips.
