The things you had to weigh in the ear were symbolic of the anatomical parts of the human ear, by the way: the eardrum, the stirrup bone, the hammer bone, the anvil bone, the ear labyrinth, the cochlea (spiral-shaped) and the auditory tube.

so glad you are actually going through with the rusty lake series. i highly recommend going back and trying to get all of the achievements, there are some really good meta puzzles i think you’ll enjoy

There's actually two endings for the fishing one, you did the secret route and got the good ending, but if you used the diamond instead you'll get the true ending which is... well lets just say it doesn't go as well for the main character.

I think the way you describe him as "went a bit crazy" is insensitive he didnt "go crazy", he had severe mental illness, and couldn't get help for it because those resources weren't really available when he was alive, and his mental illness spiraled so much he ended up ending his own life iirc his most Famous painting, Starry Night, was of a view he had when he was in a mental hospital-

Changing the past becomes a more integral part of the story much later

These games are reminding me of when me and my sister would just play escape the room type games on our phones all the time

I'd recommend going for 100% completion with Rusty Lake, there are some very interesting Easter eggs and cross-game puzzles

Boys, we're getting closer and closer to the day when Tyler just starts doing escape games on addictive games

It felt so weird when me, a man of science that slept in history and art classes, recognized the paintings way before him

Oooh yay more Cube Escape/Rusty Lake and a twofer at that! Yeah, the Lake is pretty short, especially going with the Emerald ending. Thank you for actually going back into Seasons and finding that easter egg though :D Arles is one of my favorites to replay because I love both the painting puzzle and the liquids puzzle.

@@eliotoole4534 Okay, I just checked, and I got it reversed; he left the lobe. It seems to be that he removed around half of the top part of his ear.

I hate it when room escape games hide stuff in the floorboards, it's basically trial and error even if you do know where the items are, thankfully Rusty Lake only really does it one time but I remembered as a kid just how many room escape games did that sorta thing.
